We asked two former interns, Carson Trammell and Seth Kacich, now full-time U.S. Engineering team members, what they wish they'd known before starting their program. Their answers were simple: ask questions, stay open, and take ownership of your experience. Some of our interns go on to build long-term careers at U.S. Engineering. Others use the experience to take the next step elsewhere. Either way, we're so excited to have this year's interns join us on May 22. We know they'll do incredible things!

We're excited to sponsor the Keynote, John Winsor, at this year's DBIA Rocky Mountain Region conference! John is an expert in AI-driven workplace strategies and focuses on the evolving intersection of work, technology, and talent. As an experienced mechanical prime design-build contractor, our U.S. Engineering Construction’s Rocky Mountain team leads renovations and equipment replacement projects to improve energy efficiency and enhance building system performance. We're particularly interested to hear what John says since our teams are advancing AI data centers nationwide through our innovative modular prefabrication methods. Join us May 1 in downtown Denver! This Earth Day, we’re highlighting a project that supports people and the planet. U.S. Engineering Construction helped Denver Public Schools work toward their decarbonization goals and assisted in delivering a fully electric building. The new Responsive Arts and STEAM Academy gives students, faculty, and staff in Far Northeast Denver a healthy, energy-efficient place to learn. During preconstruction on this design-assist project, our team evaluated multiple system types and energy sources. The selected design includes heat pump RTUs, VAVs with SCR electric heat, and electric water heaters. This project aligns with our own efforts toward sustainability. We’ve measured a 10% decrease in our own greenhouse gas emissions since we started tracking those levels in 2019. By monitoring and reducing our own energy consumption, we’re poised to help our customers do the same, leaving our communities and our own organization better tomorrow than they are today. Last year, our Kansas City team brought the heat to Wings 4 Water, Inc. in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, serving up smoked wings for a cause that’s all about access to clean water. We joined other local teams to raise funds, cook up some friendly competition, and support a mission that’s already helped more than 11,000 people around the world get access to purified water. Thanks to everyone who grilled, served, and made the U.S. Engineering wings a hit! #NationalVolunteerMonth

Last year, twelve of our team members from the Rocky Mountain region spent the day volunteering with Junior Achievement’s Finance Park, working with 8th graders from Shadow Ridge Middle School. The students took part in a hands-on simulation that walked them through real-life decisions around budgeting, saving, and spending. Our volunteers helped guide them through the day – sharing a few life lessons along the way. Thanks to all our team members who showed up and made space for students to learn and lead. #NationalVolunteerMonth
