Supporting healthier beginnings for more families. We're proud to share UnitedHealthcare's expanded doula support offering, designed to help improve maternal and infant health. Research shows doula care can help improve physical and mental health outcomes, reduce complications and help families feel more supported during one of life's most important moments.
UnitedHealthcare’s Doula Support offering is now expanding nationwide for eligible employer-sponsored plans. Doulas provide non-clinical guidance during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Doula Support is being rolled out in phases and is currently available nationwide to eligible employer health plans. Throughout 2026, availability will continue to expand to additional employer groups, and by Jan. 1, 2027, approximately 7.2 million members may have access to the offering if it’s part of their employer’s health plan.
