  • Graduates!!! We're spoiling you BIG TIME!!! Head to our Insta: @thread_wallets for more details on how to enter! 🤩

Last year dozens of graduating seniors sent Thread® their graduation announcements. We wanted to help those customers celebrate that milestone so we sent out over 40 PR boxes stuffed full of Thread product, gift cards, cameras, a copy of our favorite book, and so much more. This year we decided to do something similar so we’re sending out 25 PR boxes full of amazing goodies PLUS we’re sending one deserving senior and their +1 on a trip of a lifetime to Hawaii! Head to our Instagram for more details and all the rules AND if you have a child that’s graduating (either from high school or college) make sure to send us their announcement! Over the past year we've been re-thinking what we want Thread® to be known for long term. Every discussion came back to our roots and why we started. Thread pulls two separate pieces of fabric together and binds them. It creates a stronger whole, a more beautiful tapestry or color. At its core, Thread® is about connection. From the beginning, our goal has been to create functional and expressive products that help carry you through life's most memorable moments and the day-to-day. This year, we're launching our new brand slogan, "Do What Connects You" and I'm so excited for all the storytelling and marketing initiatives we have coming around this tagline. In a world dominated by Chat GPT, other forms of AI, text messages and IG posts, we want Thread® to be your constant reminder to do what connects you. Start a garden. Go to the farmers market. Make a quilt. Learn how to ski or play the guitar. Karaoke with friends. Read a book. Buy the concert tickets. Book the trip. Whatever it is that makes you feel alive, do it and bring your friends along with you. Thread® will carry the essentials so you can focus on living your best life and connecting with yourself, the earth and with each other. What connects you to your community? To your family or friends? The earth? Most importantly, what makes you feel connected to yourself? I'm currently headed to a pilates class and then I'm going to make time to quilt today. Comment below and I'll send four of you a $50 Thread® gift card!

Something I'm really proud of at Thread® is how consistent we've been with our pricing over the past 11 years. Colby Bauer and I sold our OG Elastic Wallet at farmers markets and pop-ups in 2015 for $16. Today, the same elastic wallet is $15.99. According to the U.S. Consumer Price Index, if you tracked for inflation, something sold for $16 in 2015 should be sold today for approximately $21.50–$22.00. Our mission to provide expressive everyday carry essentials at an affordable price has been woven into everything we do and over the past year, I feel like this has been especially important. When we were hit with tariffs, we decided to eat the cost instead of pushing it onto our customers. I know it's not a position every business can take but even with an increase in our costs, our goal was to remain consistent and affordable for the people that matter most to us, our customers. If you bought a wallet in 2015 or if you just purchased a wallet this year, THANK YOU! Leave a comment below and I'll send FOUR of you a new Elastic Wallet from our latest collection. 👇🏼

LinkedIn Community. It's time for your help! Let's get this post to blow up. Who has a connection at Venmo and or PayPal who would point us in the right direction for Thread® to partner on Venmo's collegiate card offering? Some backstory. I saw an ad during a BYU basketball game for the Venmo collegiate card targeting college students. One of Thread®'s biggest demographics is college students. We already make elastic wallets for the majority of the schools Venmo makes this card for. Imagine getting your new Venmo card in a Thread® elastic wallet. It seems like a match made in heaven in my mind. A credit card in a fun expressive wallet. BOOM! Great partnership right there. That's my random Monday morning musing today. Let's harness the power of LinkedIn and make this happen.
