Hope is an action. Stories build change. We were honored to welcome Michelle Bloomrose as our Beyond the Bio speaker this Women's History Month. As a retired U.S Navy Commander, General Counsel, and LGBTQ+ advocate, Michelle reflected on her journey as a trans woman and reminded us how important it is to share stories and uplift one another, especially in uncertain times. When we make space for stories like Michelle's, we help shape a future where more people feel seen, supported, and able to lead as their full selves. There’s a specific kind of magic in meeting the artist behind the work that lives in your walls. ✨ Interior designer, Pernilla Frazier (Pernilla Interiors), attended an event in NYC where she caught up with the legendary Maira Kalman. We are so incredibly fortunate to house two of Maira’s works in our collection: 🍃 "The Oak Leaf" – A limited edition print from her private booklet "Joy," tucked perfectly into our atrium nook. 🎨 "Bertha Weil and Friend" – An original gouache created for her illustrated edition of Gertrude Stein’s "The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas."
