  • Most people think they're not hitting their goals because they lack discipline, information, or the right strategy. But what if it's none of those things? What if it's your beliefs? Jay Papasan sat down with Nir Eyal — author of 'Hooked', 'Indistractable', and his new book 'Beyond Belief' — to talk about why beliefs, not behavior, are the real driver of sustained motivation... And what to do when yours are working against you. Inside this episode, you'll learn: ☑️ How to find the limiting belief that's quietly running your decisions ☑️ The "motivation triangle" and why knowing what to do is never enough on its own ☑️ A simple way to know when to keep going and when it's actually okay to quit ☑️ Why successful people are, in Nir's words, "losers" — and why that's actually the point If you've ever felt stuck, inconsistent, or ready to give up, take a listen to this one. • The people in your circle will either carry you through the hard seasons or keep you stuck in them. And most of the time, you don't realize which one it is until you're already in the middle of something hard. Remember that no one succeeds alone. And no one fails alone. The people around you — the ones you call when things fall apart, the ones who show up before you even ask — they have more to do with your trajectory than your talent ever will. So take a look at who's around you. The right people won't just celebrate your wins. They'll be the reason you have any. #community #resiliency #theonething

  • The gap between where you are and where you want to be isn't a knowledge problem. It's a habits problem. And the most powerful habit isn't a morning routine or a productivity system. It's one question, asked every single day: "What's the ONE Thing I can do today such that by doing it everything else will be easier or unnecessary?" That's it. Research shows it takes about 66 days to make it stick. But once it does, your direction gets clear, your work gets more focused, and the results follow. Your future is being decided right now by what you repeatedly do. So what's your ONE Thing today? #theonething #focus #clarity

  • Some days, getting out of bed and making it to the grocery store is the win. And if you've ever been in a season like that — you know exactly what we mean. When life hits hardest, most of us don't need a bigger vision or a better strategy. We need one small thing to move toward. Just ONE domino to knock down the rest. That's exactly how Julia Lashay found her way back after the unimaginable. Not by overhauling everything at once — but by writing down one small goal. Checking it off. Then doing it again the next day. One thing at a time, until she was about to begin building her life back again. So if you're in a hard season, or looking for a way out of feeling 'stuck', take a listen to this week's episode. the1thing.com/podcast #TheONEThing #resilience #grief

  • We all have that one thing we swear is making us more productive. For some people it's the to-do list. Cross enough off and the day feels like a win. For others it's multitasking. If you're doing three things at once, you're ahead, right? And then there's willpower. Just push harder, stay later, grind through it. The problem? All three feel productive in the moment. And all three are quietly working against you. Which one do you fall for the most? #theonething #productivity #focus

  • Some of the most important work you'll ever do is deciding who gets a seat at your table. You can love people deeply and still be intentional about who you give your time and energy to. Those are two very different things. The people who show up when life gets hard, who push you forward, who tell you the truth even when it's uncomfortable they shape your trajectory more than almost anything else. So be purposeful about your circle. And if you don't have those people yet? Go first. Be that for someone else. And watch who shows up. ♥️ Double tap this and share it with someone who is in your circle. #TheONEThing #leadership #community #resilience

  • By 23, she had six properties and a property management company. By the time she was done with 2008, she had nothing. And that wasn't even the hardest part. Most of us think resilience is something you either have or you don't. But Julia Lashay will tell you it's something you build — one small step at a time. Sometimes that step is just getting dressed. Sometimes it's making it to the grocery store. And on the hardest days, that's enough. In this episode of The ONE Thing podcast, Jay Papasan sits down with entrepreneur, keynote speaker, and resilience expert Julia Lashay to talk about what it actually looks like to keep building when life starts to fall apart. You'll learn: ☑️ Why resilience (not opportunity) is the separator between entrepreneurs and leaders who make it and those who don't ☑️ The small, unglamorous steps that actually rebuild momentum when life falls apart ☑️ How to rediscover your purpose when the one you had no longer fits ☑️ Why your circle has more to do with your trajectory than your talent Watch the full episode at: https://lnkd.in/eWX29V2P

  • Is your to-do list stressing you out? 👇 Try this before you do anything else. Most people think the fix to an overwhelming to do list is a better system, a new app, or a fancy color coded calendar. But the real problem isn't how you're organizing your list. It's the list itself. This is something high achievers don't often realize: Your to-do list isn't a success tool. It's a survival tool that's keeping you busy, but it's not building your life. 🎯 What you actually need is a success list. A list that is purposefully created around extraordinary results. So how does a successful person turn a to-do list into a success list? Start with everything you think you need to do and write it all down. Then ask yourself: what's the 20% of this list that would create 80% of my results? Then? Go smaller. What's the 20% of that? Keep narrowing until you land on ONE thing. The ONE Thing that if you did it today, would make everything else easier or unnecessary. That's it. That's your success list. Not ten things. Not five. But ONE essential thing, because extraordinary results aren't created by doing more. 🎯 They're created by doing what matters most. #2026goals #theonething
