The Olympic U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team's Apparel Is Getting a Makeover by The North Face." Rolling Stone "The outdoor brand just announced an eight-year partnership with USSS — and unveiled a stylish consumer collection coming in the fall. Just like the broader fashion world, ski and snowboard clothing has seen a return to early Oughts styles in recent years, with baggy pants, graphic hoodies, and tees slowly replacing minimal, tech-y gear. Now, that style has reached the sport’s summit. The North Face was just announced as the Official Performance Apparel Partner of U.S. Ski & Snowboard, bringing its signature streetwear-inspired look to the next two Winter Olympics.” We won’t see The North Face’s U.S. Ski & Snowboard kits on Olympic athletes until the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in the French Alps, but a commercially available collection inspired by the USSS gear will hit shelves in the fall of this year. The large collection includes hoodies, T-shirts, and even specialized bags for all your snow gear." Rolling Stone https://lnkd.in/gKNhvTp3

WWD In the runup to the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the French Alps, The North Face has signed an eight-year partnership to become the official performance apparel partner of U.S. Ski and Snowboard. Under this new partnership, the company will provide competition outerwear for the national team athletes, coaches and staff in all 11 disciplines: alpine, cross country, freeski, freestyle moguls, freestyle aerials, Nordic combined, para alpine, para Nordic, para snowboard, ski jumping and snowboard. • "Case Study | The New Hype Playbook: From Drops to Stories." The Business of Fashion "Hype is often misunderstood as fleeting or superficial, but it’s ultimately about getting consumers excited and offers brands a powerful means to cut through noise and capture attention. With shoppers tiring of viral marketing stunts, however, brands need a new playbook that can deliver sustained cultural momentum.  In this case study, The Business of Fashion dissects what really generates hype today, by speaking to brands that have defined it for decades and continue to exemplify it. " Lei Takanashi "For 60 years, The North Face has produced and designed sportswear that’s transcended the outdoor sports communities it was originally designed for, and for nearly half that time, the brand’s most recognisable items have included a handful of the same products: the Nuptse down jacket, the Denali fleece zip-up and the Mountain Jacket. Originally, these three items were marketed to shoppers as a modular kit the brand named “The Expedition System” functionally designed to tackle any outdoor endeavour, but they’ve since become key sales drivers adopted as everyday fashion in the same vein as Nike basketball shoes like Air Jordans." • Seeing the World Differently with Noisy Vision Exploration should be for everyone. That’s why The North Face and The VF Foundation support Appennino Slow and NoisyVision to help make the outdoors more accessible and inclusive for people with visual and hearing impairments. Co-Founder Dario Sorgato recently joined us at our Stabio HQ to share and inspire us about the journey behind the initiative, including the challenges, but also the purpose and impact. What stood out most was the authenticity of their approach: focusing not only on obstacles, but on resilience, teamwork, and the importance of changing perspectives. Their visit didn’t just end in our office, as the following day a group of colleagues joined NoisyVision for a local 8km hike as part of their VF volunteering, turning inspiration into action. This May 21-24, 2026, we will join forces for their multi-day hiking trail Via degli Dei, which connects Bologna to Florence. This will be in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Once a student, now the ranger 💚 After visiting Mammoth Cave on a fourth-grade field trip, Jennifer Shackelford dreamed of becoming a park ranger. Today, she helps welcome the next generation of park visitors through hands-on learning experiences that connect students to science, history, and the wonder of the underground world. This work is made possible by partners like The North Face and The VF Foundation, whose Power of Nature platform is working to expand access to parks and inspire the next generation to explore, helping young people experience the power of a park visit, many for the very first time. https://lnkd.in/ewQGYwcw
