Swinerton has completed the buildout of Antagonist- an upscale coffee and cocktail bar that fosters connection, conversation, and sense of shared experience among guests. Furnished with portraits of famous pop culture antagonists and sophisticated accents, the dual-concept space evolves from a specialty coffee shop by day into a phone-free cocktail bar at night. Swinerton self-performed several key elements of the project, including concrete, drywall, framing, and installation of acoustical ceiling tiles and specialty finishes.

Celebrating a milestone for Beverly Hills Unified School District. Swinerton recently joined project partners for the Topping Out Ceremony for Building C, marking an exciting step forward for this new athletic complex. Swinerton is providing general contracting services for a new 45,000-square-foot, two‑story gymnasium featuring multi-purpose basketball and volleyball courts, advanced weight training areas, locker and team rooms, and flexible athletic spaces designed to support a wide range of sports and fitness programs. The project also includes a separate 25‑yard, 10‑lane competition pool with a detached storage and equipment building, along with site enhancements such as a new retaining wall behind the main gymnasium. #Swinerton #ToppingOut #BeverlyHillsUSD #K12Construction #BuildingTheFuture

A new high-limit gaming experience is now open at Harrah’s Resort Southern California. Swinerton recently completed the renovation and expansion of a casino high-limit area, transforming an outdoor courtyard into a refined, fully enclosed gaming lounge. The project included a new roof structure, a custom bar, and elevated interior finishes, from millwork and decorative metal to large-format LED screenwalls that bring the space to life, designed in collaboration with JCJ ARCHITECTURE. Delivered within an active casino, the team coordinated early morning and off-peak work to keep operations running smoothly, while adapting to late-stage security upgrades and an accelerated schedule. We are proud to help create a dynamic, high-end space built for today’s guests.

Swinerton celebrated the groundbreaking of the San Francisco Fire Department’s Division of Training Facility. This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative project that will provide state-of-the-art resources for the city’s dedicated first responders. Swinerton is proud to partner with the City, San Francisco Fire Department, and DLR Group – RossDrulisCusenbery Architecture Inc. to deliver a facility that will advance the department’s continued focus on training, safety, and operational excellence. This state-of-the-art training campus will consolidate the Department of Training’s dispersed facilities into one centralized location, featuring live fire and simulation training structures, classrooms, emergency medical services training spaces, and onsite fire apparatus training. Together, these resources will support the unique emergency fire and medical responses needed in the City and County of San Francisco. We look forward to constructing a facility that will help prepare the next generation of fire-life safety professionals to safeguard San Francisco’s residents and neighborhoods. Progress continues at the Monarch Recreation Center in the City of Pflugerville, Texas, a key component of the Downtown East development. Delivered in partnership with Byrne Construction, this three-story, multigenerational facility is designed to bring the community together through a range of recreational and event spaces—from an indoor/outdoor turf area to a natatorium featuring mass timber elements by Timberlab. We’re proud to support a project that will serve Pflugerville for years to come, with construction continuing to advance.

We recently celebrated a major milestone with the topping out of the new four-story LACCD East Los Angeles College Nursing, Allied Health, and Public Safety Building, designed to support the next generation of healthcare and public safety professionals. Swinerton is providing general contracting services for this state-of-the-art facility, which will serve Nursing, Allied Health, and Public Service/Public Safety programs including EMT, Fire, and Police. The building brings these disciplines together through in-house simulation labs, research spaces, and flexible classrooms that support both focused instruction and interdisciplinary learning. Because hands-on, real-world simulation is central to these programs, the project requires a thoughtful and highly coordinated construction approach. From custom acoustical, audiovisual, and MEP systems to advanced technology, specialized equipment, and oversized control rooms, every element is being carefully integrated to support complex learning environments.
