At Sunshine Health Community Connections Centers in Pensacola, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa, we partnered with community organizations to host Ambetter Health Baby Showers designed to support expecting families. With the support of partners like The Mace Anthony Williamson Foundation, Champions for Children, Florida Association of Healthy Start Coalitions, and REACHUP, these events connected families with helpful resources and baby essentials. Together, we’re focused on supporting families early: providing education, connections, and support from the start. #FromTheStart #SpreadingSunshine

We’re proud to partner with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration to bring care closer to home through our mobile clinic. We’re excited about the impact this work is having in communities like Lauderhill, and it was an honor to host Secretary Harris and share how we’re supporting moms, babies, and families. We’re grateful for her leadership and continued focus on improving maternal health statewide.
This week, Secretary Shevaun H. joined Sunshine Health at their Mobile Clinic in Lauderhill, FL! As part of the Agency’s ‘From the Start’ initiative, we’re proud to partner with our health plans to bring essential maternal and pediatric care directly into our communities. Sunshine Health’s mobile clinic increases access by meeting members close to home—connecting them with local doctors, supporting follow up care, and helping them stay engaged in their health. While Tuesday’s visit focused on maternal and pediatric care, the mobile clinic offers a full array of services, including routine checkups, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, referrals, prescription support, and more. #FromtheStart #MaternalCare #FloridaMaternalHealth #MobileClinic

We are grateful for AHCA Secretary Shevaun Harris's leadership and for the opportunity to participate in advancing the 'From the Start' maternal health initiative. Through this important collaboration, partners across the state are working together to expand critical supports and improve birth outcomes for mothers and babies. We are thankful for the strong partnership and shared commitment that continues to move this work forward.
Secretary Shevaun H. held a roundtable in Ft. Lauderdale with Medicaid Managed Care plans and community leaders to advance the ‘From the Start’ initiative, which is expanding supports for mothers from pregnancy through one year postpartum. Enhanced services like mobile OB services, unlimited doula services, breastfeeding support, remote patient monitoring for high-risk pregnant women, and so much more will be provided by Medicaid health plans to improve maternal and infant outcomes. Thank you to Broward Health, Senator Osgood, Broward Healthy Start Coalition, Inc., Broward Health Medical Center, Molina Healthcare, Community Care Plan, Sunshine Health, and the Florida Hospital Association for serving on the panel and for your dedication to this initiative. Together, we're paving the way for a healthier Florida. #MaternalHealth #FromTheStart #FloridaMaternalHealthCare Aetna, a CVS Health Company Community Care Plan, Independent Living Systems, LLC Florida Community Care Humana Molina Healthcare Simply Healthcare Plans Sunshine Health UnitedHealth Group
