  • Think your system needs a massive rebuild? Think again. Fresh from Slate Labs at Yale, Betsey Weaver reveals the 'small tweaks' that create immediate, real-world results. Check out her post below. Technolutions #SlateLabs #Solidan

Small changes. Big impact. At Technolutions Slate Labs last week, one idea showed up again and again: The biggest improvements didn’t come from massive rebuilds — they came from small, intentional changes. Most teams aren’t struggling because their systems are broken. They’re struggling with friction. 👉 Too many clicks to complete a task 👉 Manual follow-ups that should be automated 👉 Key information that’s hard to find And the fix? Not a full overhaul. Just better design decisions — applied thoughtfully, over time. At Slate Labs, we even watched workflows get adjusted in real time… small tweaks that immediately reduced friction and improved visibility. That’s the work. Because strong systems aren’t built all at once — they’re refined. 💡 Small tweaks. Real impact. Solidan

Fresh from an exclusive deep dive at Yale, Betsey Weaver is back with a refined strategic lens and high-impact insights to further elevate Solidan’s Student Success initiatives. Technolutions The Study at Yale #Solidan

Last week I found myself somewhere a little different than my usual day-to-day… Walking through Yale University, water bottle in hand, heading into two days of hands-on learning at #Slate Labs for Student Success, hosted by Technolutions. And it was so worth the trip. From start to finish, the Technolutions team delivered an exceptional experience — thoughtful, organized, and genuinely focused on making the time valuable. Day 2 was a standout. We spent time in a small-group setting with Alexander Clark, watching him troubleshoot and fix things in real time inside Slate. Seeing that level of expertise up close (and unscripted) was incredible — and incredibly useful. And in a very “this is why you show up in person” moment… my friend Britt Young, Ed.D. and I ended up getting an impromptu personal tour of the Technolutions headquarters after the event ended! Such a fun (and unexpected) highlight. Also worth calling out — The Study at Yale was an outstanding host. The space and overall vibe made it easy to focus, learn, and connect. I did manage to sneak in a little time to wander New Haven, too — because when you’re there, you have to. Heading home with fresh ideas, new perspective, and a lot of excitement about what’s possible in this work. Thankful I was able to represent Solidan at this exclusive event. Huge thanks again to the Technolutions team for an experience that was not just informative — but genuinely impactful. • Headed to New Haven this week for Technolutions Slate Labs — two days of hands-on, in-person learning, building, and collaboration with some of the best in the Slate Student Success community! There’s nothing like getting out of the day-to-day to sharpen ideas, swap strategies, and bring back solutions you can actually use. If you’ll be there, come say hi. I’d love to connect in person! 👋 Betsey Weaver Solidan

Many institutions do incredible work supporting students after they enroll. 💠Advising programs. 💠Early alerts. 💠Peer mentoring. 💠Academic support initiatives. But the tracking for those efforts often lives in spreadsheets, email threads, or systems that don’t talk to each other. Meanwhile, Slate is already sitting there as the institution’s engagement CRM. So… why not use it? When Student Success work lives in Slate, teams can: • Centralize communication with enrolled students • Identify students who may need support using engagement and activity data • Connect students to the right resources at the right time It turns scattered initiatives into something structured, visible, and measurable. 💡 Pro Tip If you're thinking about Student Success planning for the fall term, explore Enrollments in Slate. It’s a powerful way to organize initiatives, track participation, and move programs from good ideas… to measurable impact. If you'd like to talk through ideas, this is the kind of work I focus on at Solidan—helping institutions turn Student Success initiatives into structured, trackable workflows in Slate.
