  • April was an incredible month for SMU Student Foundation! From Peruna Palooza to our SF Senior Celebration, we loved bringing the SMU community together. We also raised $883 and wrote 500+ birthday cards for The Birthday Party Project to help make birthdays extra special for children across the country. Be sure to check out our April Pillar Press for a look back at all the fun! Link: https://lnkd.in/gA2faxKN

  • Peruna Palooza was one for the books! We loved celebrating our mascot, Peruna, at our annual birthday party, and this year was extra special with record-breaking attendance from the SMU community. A huge shoutout to Jackson Chase and his Campus Events Committee for bringing the energy, creativity, and spirit that made this event so memorable. And a special thank you to Jay Hartzell for coming out and celebrating with us. We loved having you there! Here’s to celebrating traditions, building community, and making moments that bring the Hilltop together. 💙❤

SMU Student Foundation is very excited to be partnering with North Texas Food Bank as a part of SMU's Homecoming 2025. As this year’s Philanthropy Coordinator, I’m honored to lead the creation of a unique on-campus event and fundraiser in support of a nonprofit making a meaningful impact in the Dallas community. North Texas Food Bank immediately came to mind for its vital role in addressing food insecurity across our region. In DFW, there are 1.3 million individuals who face hunger every day, including a staggering 1 in 5 children. That means DFW ranks third in the nation among metro areas for the number of people who are food insecure, behind only L.A. and New York. North Texas Food Bank is dedicated to fighting this crisis, and with every $1 you donate, we can deliver 3 meals directly to those in need. Our goal is to raise $20,000, which will provide an incredible 60,000 meals for our neighbors facing food insecurity. Below is the donation link: https://lnkd.in/dqqqA74c Please share this message and fundraiser to raise awareness for this vital mission. Whether you’re near or far, your support can change lives and bring hope to families who are counting on us. Sincere thank you to Debra Baker, Sarah Burns from North Texas Food Bank, as well as Tyler Welch, Jaden Cox, and the entire Homecoming Committee for supporting me in this process.

  • Yesterday, we had the first GM of the Fall 2025 semester! SFers were reunited after a long and busy summer, returning to the Chamber to continue preparing for our signature events. We cannot wait for the SMU and greater Dallas communities to see the hard work of our GMs, alongside the members and leaders of our Family Weekend, Homecoming, and Campus Events Committees, as we bring 2025 to a close!
