Motor systems used to be pretty straightforward: focus on control and call it a day. That’s no longer enough. Today’s systems are expected to connect, adapt, and respond in real time, and the traditional multi-chip approach is starting to show its limits. We take a look at how that’s changing, and what it means to bring motor control, wireless connectivity, and on-device processing together in a single platform. In the demo video, a BLDC motor is controlled entirely by one device. It detects disturbances as they happen and responds immediately, all while staying connected.
