  • What a night! Our 2026 Superintendent’s 21st Century Scholarship Award winners were honored at the Asian Art Museum this week. Winners received a $3,000 scholarship and were surprised with new laptops from the Tech4Youth Foundation. Their families, friends, and support systems watched heartfelt videos on each student (that we’ll be posting soon!) that showed their journey with SFUSD. We are you proud of each of you and cannot wait to see what your future holds! SPARK SF PUBLIC SCHOOLS

We're excited to share that we’re launching our Mobile Benefits Center! This new benefits hub on wheels will expand access to CalFresh, Medi Cal, CalWORKs, CAAP, and other essential services and resources directly in neighborhoods across San Francisco. This is such an incredible milestone, and we couldn’t have done it without our partners at Share Our Strength, the SF-Marin Food Bank, Civic Makers, Mission Action, and Larkin Street Youth Services. Thank you to the various teams whose work made today’s launch possible, especially the Mobile Benefits Center project team, led by Ana Marie Lara-Baquiran and Nora Martín-White. We are so excited for our eligibility staff, outreach workers, and community partners to put this effort into action meeting people where they are and working alongside the community organizations they know and trust. • Thank you McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. for the yard beautification donations over spring break! McCarthy donated more than $10,000 worth of soil, plants, and labor to spruce up large raised planters at a dozen schools around the district. Volunteers spent the week preparing the planters, filling them, and giving them new life. McCarthy has been a long-time partner with the district's Bond Program, most recently as the contractor for the Mission Bay School. “At McCarthy, we’re proud to support SFUSD in ways that go beyond the jobsite. This yard beautification effort reflects our commitment to showing up for our clients, students, and school communities — not only by building great facilities." — Kelly Coogan, Project Director | McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
