SLR communities have been awarded "Best Senior Living" by the U.S. News and World Report, with awards in the Best Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care categories! Several of our communities also scored in the top 25% of evaluated communities nationwide for things like caregiving, programs, staff, food, and providing a home-like environment. These honors are based on direct feedback from our residents and families and ultimately would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of each and every associate across our communities. #WeAreSLR

As SLR’s most-tenured Executive Director, Mike is known for his fearless leadership style, open-door communication policy and commitment to giving seniors the best possible quality of life. He has also been instrumental in helping low-income seniors access quality senior living. Check out this feature in Cape Cod Life to learn more about Mike’s personal and professional journey.
Our very own Executive Director was featured in this month's Cape Cod Life Publications! Mike's passion for caring for seniors and helping families understand their options has shone throughout his 20+ year tenure at our community. We are incredibly lucky to have his vision guiding us, backed by our organization's right values.

Last week, we held our annual Top Chef Cook-off at U.S. Foods, and it was one of our most exciting competitions yet, especially with our chefs paired up in teams! We started the day with a presentation from our partners at Oldways Preservation Trust on the Science Behind the Mediterranean Diet. In the afternoon, each chef represented a different country from the upcoming "2026 Grab Your Passport!" destinations and created a unique dish inspired by that region. Our winners are as follows: Adherence to Brain Healthy Cooking Program - Maureen Flannery from Neville Place Assisted Living & Compass Memory Support and Paul Dube from The Cambridge Homes Authenticity to Assigned Country - Dennis Simonson from Ridgefield Station Senior Living and Claribel Alago from Farmington Station Senior Living Appeal / Taste - Ken McCluskey from Compass On The Bay and Randall Sherman from Cape Cod Senior Residences Presentation - Emerson Dacosta from Concord Park Senior Living and Caleb Bogren from Nashoba Park Assisted Living Best Dessert - Francisco Castro from Cornerstone at Milford Fan Favorite - Emerson Dacosta from Concord Park Senior Living and Caleb Bogren from Nashoba Park Assisted Living We are excited to announce the recipient for SLR's Top Chefs of 2025 are Ken McCluskey from Compass On The Bay and Randall Sherman from Cape Cod Senior Residences!
