As Griswold grew, so did the demands on its fire department. The facility needed to keep up! In the City of Griswold, Iowa, they were operating out of a space that no longer matched how their crews respond today. Tight quarters, limited training space, and slower movement when seconds matter. So they set out to build something that works with them, not against them. The new fire station and rescue facility is designed to support faster response, better flow, and the day-to-day needs of the department. See how it came together for the city below! ⬇️ #FireStationDesign #PublicSafety #CommunityInfrastructure #MunicipalDesign #EmergencyResponse #AEC #CityProjects

Turns out the drone footage isn’t just making projects look cool… it’s helping teams make better decisions out in the field 👀 Bailey Nelson is {Brief}ly Speaking on the ways drone technology is changing how infrastructure projects are viewed, planned, and delivered. From safer inspections to better project information, drones are helping teams see projects from an entirely different perspective throughout planning and construction. 🎧 Listen to the full episode below! https://lnkd.in/eWykEu9j #Infrastructure #DroneTechnology #AEC #Construction #Surveying

A lot goes into a project before you ever see equipment on site. Planning, coordination, design, agency review, stakeholder input, and plenty of conversations all help move an idea toward construction. That’s why groundbreaking events are always exciting to be part of. A few weeks ago, our team joined project partners and community leaders to celebrate the groundbreaking for the Nine Mile Creek Corridor Renewal Project in Bloomington. The project includes extensive habitat restoration and ecological improvements throughout the corridor, including woodland and prairie restoration, invasive species management, streambank stabilization, native planting, and improvements aimed at supporting long-term water quality and ecosystem health. The work will also improve trails and community access while helping restore and protect Nine Mile Creek. Proud to be part of a project like this and excited to see the work begin taking shape. #Groundbreaking #BloomingtonMN #NineMileCreek #EnvironmentalRestoration #ParksAndTrails #SEHinc

What exactly is a wetland?🤔 Wetlands are areas where water meets land, creating ecosystems that help filter water, reduce flooding, support wildlife habitats, and improve overall environmental health. They play a bigger role in our communities than most people realize! Our natural resources teams help clients navigate wetland delineation, permitting, restoration, mitigation, habitat assessments, and ecological restoration projects across the country. #WetlandsMonth #Wetlands #NaturalResources #EcologicalRestoration #EnvironmentalPlanning #WaterResources

The systems communities rely on every day are aging, and the numbers behind it are hard to ignore. These stats, highlighted through the American Society of Civil Engineers Infrastructure Report Card, reflect challenges communities across the country are working to address. Infrastructure impacts more than roads and pipes. It affects safety, reliability, water quality, and long-term community growth. 📩 Which of these stats surprised you the most? #Infrastructure #PublicWorks #CivilEngineering #Stormwater #Transportation

Most people don’t think twice about what keeps a community running... until they need it! Clean drinking water. Bridges that safely carry traffic every day. Storm drains that help prevent flooding during heavy rain. The systems working behind the scenes matter more than most people realize. A lot goes into keeping it all moving. #PublicWorks #WaterInfrastructure #Stormwater #BridgeInspection #CommunityInfrastructure #DrinkingWater
