During #NationalVolunteerWeek, we’re thinking about the various ways our colleagues come together to support the communities where we work and live. Recently, cross-functional team leaders and program managers met at one of our Massachusetts sites for a workshop dedicated to collaboration and team building. As part of the event, they took on a bicycle-building challenge, benefiting People Helping People, a local food pantry. Advancing our mission to transform the lives of people impacted by rare diseases while giving back where we work and live? That’s #OneSarepta.

Life Science Cares Boston supports nonprofits through impact grants, and we’re proud to stand behind their mission to alleviate the effects of poverty and support our community.

This week, some of our newer colleagues gathered at Sarepta’s Cambridge headquarters for First Year Connections, a program aimed at building relationships and strengthening workplace bonds in our hybrid environment. These full-day events offer an opportunity to explore different functions and teams across the organization. Participants also get an in-depth look at Sarepta’s learning, development and networking resources, while deepening their connection to our culture and mission. Welcome to One Sarepta!

Sarepta is thrilled to announce the launch of our expanded Co-Op Program. Our six-month paid Co-Op program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students and will run from July – December 2025. Positions will primarily be Massachusetts based with some remote opportunities. Our aim is to provide each student with valuable experiences, opportunities for learning and development in their chosen field and exposure to the biotech industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and contribute to our mission of dragging tomorrow into today. Application deadline is April 18. What’s happening in the life sciences sector of Columbus, Ohio? A lot. And Sarepta is right at the heart of it. In 2021, we opened our 140,000-square-foot Genetic Therapies Center of Excellence (GTCOE) and established a strong presence in the community. Our Ohio research team, led by Louise Rodino-Klapac, Ph.D., Executive Vice President, Head of R&D and Chief Scientific Officer, is focused on discovery, pre-clinical and clinical development supporting Sarepta’s pipeline of genetic therapies. Dr. Rodino-Klapac recently spoke with Ohio Life Sciences about the exciting work taking place at GTCOE, why Sarepta is committed to scaling R&D in Columbus and what it means to her to establish a legacy of groundbreaking science among the Columbus community.
