Many know about #SpeculationRules by now. More recently, I've played with the new Speculative Load Measurement API 🤓 And ended up implementing it in RUMvision - Core Web Vitals monitoring (because we like new APIs), so other site owners can measure how their #SpeculationRules behave in the real world as well 🤩 That was already a few weeks ago, and the first real-user insights are in. Turns out, knowing whether speculation was used is only half the story. It also matters how much speculative work happened around that one winner. I wrote a blog article about the #API, our implementation and what the first production data is already teaching us.

The more digital our world becomes, the more I value the things that make us human: connection, creativity, nature and the way we grow together. After 10+ years in marketing, 8 of them in tech, some of my most meaningful work has come from bringing the right people, ideas and technology together. That’s why I’m excited to share about the TAGGRS × RUMvision - Core Web Vitals monitoring partnership. Different approaches, one shared goal: better data foundations, better-performing websites and better experiences for real people. To me, partnerships are more than shaking hands and/or putting two logos together. They’re about sharing knowledge, creating synergies and helping each other grow. That human understanding and connection feels more important than ever. A big thank you to you Jordy Scholing and Malgorzata Poddebniak for making this content collaboration so smooth and enjoyable! ♡ Get to know why TAGGRS × RUMvision are such a good match in the carousel bellow and explore more in the article: https://lnkd.in/eJB5aYPp (if you have a website, this is for you)

I'm passionate about web performance. This year I cut mobile load time on arden.ac.uk by 57%, through work visitors never see. 👇 A faster site means happier users, lower bounce rates, better search visibility and more conversions, which makes it a really worthwhile endeavour. However, web performance isn't something you actually see. It's a bit of a secret art. When it's done well, pages appear almost instantly and respond the moment you tap. Visitors feel the speed, but never see the work behind it, so it rarely gets talked about. A great design only pays off if people stay long enough to see it. If a page is slow to appear, jumps around as it loads or lags when you tap, people quietly leave before they've taken in the design. Every one of them is a lost lead. My role Arden University isn't purely about web performance, but over the last few months I've had the chance to give the speed of arden.ac.uk some real focus. Here's what real-user data shows, comparing visits before the work started (Mar–May 2026) with 21 Sep–20 Oct 2026: ⚡ Loading (Largest Contentful Paint) 📱 Mobile: 2.01s → 0.87s (−57%), now under a second 🖥️ Desktop: 2.03s → 1.08s (−47%) ✅ 95% of mobile page views now rated "good", up from 82% 🧱 Layout stability (CLS, desktop) 0.36 → 0.09, from "poor" to "good" 👆 Responsiveness (INP, mobile) 193ms → 120ms, 38% snappier None of these gains came from one silver bullet. They came from steady, unglamorous, behind-the-scenes work: • Cutting legacy JavaScript and rewriting jQuery in vanilla JS, in three phases. • Moving scripts out of the critical path, and loading heavy features like forms and search only when needed. • Two passes of fixing layout shift on desktop. • Making the cache ignore tracking parameters, so campaign traffic gets cached pages too. • Taming a third-party tracking script that was slowing down clicks. 👀 All figures are p75 from our real-user monitoring, RUMvision - Core Web Vitals monitoring, which includes iPhones, so they'll read faster than Chrome-only tools like PageSpeed Insights. #WebPerformance #WebPerf #CoreWebVitals #WebDevelopment #HigherEducation

I was thinking about creating a fancy hero for our latest feature release, but it turns out it doesn't need to be that fancy. Just one click of a button to get useful, actionable insights. We've just launched AI-powered analysis for alerts and health checks directly within RUMvision. Many of you are already using our #MCP to access your data with AI. Now, you can get those same insights directly inside our tool, without leaving your workflow. Read more about the new feature: https://lnkd.in/eWcfb3RD Or better yet, give it a try yourself!
