We’re excited to announce that our fermentation process now runs at >100g/liter titer, a milestone that few fermentation platforms have achieved. Such high productivity along with a simple downstream process supports a very low cost of production, which makes our clean-label food emulsifiers highly competitive as replacements for mono- and di-glycerides, DATEM, PGPR, and other legacy synthetics. We help our customers decouple from global supply oil supply chain issues by providing domestic manufacturing using local feedstocks, with a full portfolio of clean-label and natural replacements for food emulsifiers, detergents, fatty acids, and low-calorie sweeteners. #cleanlabel #sustainable #upcycled https://lnkd.in/gWXuiD5B

Ruby Bio is taking the stage at BioCatalyst this year, and we'd love for you to be in the room. Join me on May 21 at BioCatalyst hosted by BEAM Circular and gener8tor in Lodi, CA, where I’ll be pitching Ruby Bio as part of the BEAM Circular Accelerator Startup Showcase. It’s a unique opportunity to get a firsthand look at what we’re building, why it matters, and how we’re thinking about scaling impact in the circular bioeconomy. BioCatalyst brings together industry leaders, investors, and innovators working at the forefront of next generation bioproducts and sustainable biomanufacturing. If you’re interested in where this space is headed, and the companies driving it, this is the room to be in. If you’re planning to make the trip, I highly recommend arriving early for the BioCatalyst Reserve Experience on May 20. It’s a smaller, more immersive way to connect with fellow founders, investors, and partners while exploring Lodi wine country - complete with curated tours, meals, and some of the region’s best wine. Hope to see you there - come find me after the pitch! 🔗 REGISTER NOW at https://lnkd.in/g95aMeV2 - REGISTRATION CLOSES THIS WEEK

Ruby Bio's Ana Echaniz spoke at the Bioeconomy panel at SF Climate Week last night, where she caught up with BEAM Circular CEO Karen Warner. We are delighted to work with Beam Circular to enable upcycling of ag residue from California's North San Joaquin Valley as a feedstock for our sustainable production of the chemicals and ingredients that power our daily lives. We're especially proud that this work can add local jobs in support of the region's bioeconomy. #bioeconomy #sustainability

We’re proud to share the announcement that we’ve joined the BEAM Circular Accelerator, in partnership with gener8tor. Ruby Bio's proprietary yeast manufacturing platform can produce high-value chemicals and ingredients using sugar or up-cycled feedstocks that are sourced regionally, including agricultural residue from California’s North San Joaquin Valley. Our partnership with the accelerator will help us commercialize our products for global scale while advancing the local economy. #surfactants #biosurfactants #sustainability #renewable #biodegradable https://lnkd.in/gQCTVwjK
Announcing the 2026 BEAM Circular Accelerator Cohort! 🚀 From 200 applications, five breakthrough startups have been selected for the second cohort of the BEAM Circular Accelerator powered by gener8tor — each advancing visionary new solutions in bio-based production and circular innovation rooted in agriculture and nature. Over the next 12 weeks, these companies will receive $100K in support, mentorship from 100+ bioeconomy and venture leaders, and connections to industry partners as they scale solutions that turn agricultural waste and sidestreams into high-value products. Meet the 2026 cohort: 💡 Fermeate – light-controlled gene circuits to boost fermentation productivity 🌱 Krokos Bio – plant cell culture to produce high-value botanicals like saffron 🫧 Ruby Bio – yeast-based platform converting low-cost and upcycled feedstocks into biodegradable molecules 👕 Supercarb – plastic-free performance fibers made from upcycled biomass 📦 Tastee Tape – biodegradable food packaging film designed to replace PFAS plastics The program kicks off this week in Modesto and culminates at #BioCatalyst 2026 on May 21 in Lodi, where founders will pitch to investors, industry leaders, and the broader bioeconomy ecosystem. Congratulations to our 2026 Cohort! Read more here: https://lnkd.in/grKgCv-e #CircularBioeconomy #Biomanufacturing #Startups #ClimateTech #Biotech #AgInnovation #Bioeconomy #Venture #Entrepreneurship

Ruby Bio is excited to present at the ABLCNext 2025 conference in San Francisco this week. Our proprietary yeast fermentation platform can convert a wide range of waste feedstocks and sidestreams (crude glycerol, brewers' waste, mother liquors, polyol sidestreams, lignocellulosic, etc.) into high-value products for CPG and food ingredients markets. We would like to valorize your waste! Come learn more at ABLC's Hot Technologies Summit at 3pm this Thursday, October 23. #surfactants #emulsifiers #biobased #sidestream #lignocellulosic

"Imagine a glycerol-rich biorefinery or a nut processor in the San Joaquin Valley - Ruby could drop in fermentation tanks, spin side streams into surfactants, and ship product locally..." Ruby Bio is already converting corn sugar into drop-in replacements and higher-performing alternatives for a wide range of food ingredients and specialty chemicals. Now we will be building the same products from up-cycled waste feedstocks and sidestreams, with new funding from USDA and BEAM Circular. Read about it in Jim Lane's Biofuels Digest. #sustainability #upcycled #renewable https://lnkd.in/ghxskAwn
