  • Since the start of Ribbit, we’ve always asked entrepreneurs one simple question: Who is your customer? What do they love? Where does the experience quietly break, or feel so seamless that they never notice it at all? Those moments, the invisible friction and the invisible magic, are some of the hardest things to truly understand when building enduring brands. That’s why Listen Labs has become one of the AI platforms we rely on. We use it regularly at Ribbit to run customer studies across companies and markets, hearing directly from people around the world quickly and at real scale. Listen turns real customer conversations into feedback teams can actually act on. It creates shared insight that can be reused, debated, and built upon across product, marketing, and growth. Alfred Wahlforss and Florian Juengermann are deeply customer-obsessed. They’re building Listen the same way they believe great companies are built: by listening closely to customers themselves. They’re exactly the right people to be building this, and we’re excited to partner and keep learning alongside the Listen Labs team!

We just raised $100,000,000 from Ribbit, Sequoia, Evantic, Conviction, and Pear. But it almost didn’t happen. For nearly two years, Listen Labs did not look like a rocket ship. After our pre-seed, we spent ~18 months in what felt like limbo. Models were super unreliable, customers were unsure and we struggled to hire. Every startup problem you can imagine - we felt it. About 9 months ago, it finally clicked. Since then: • Revenue has grown 15×, crossing 8 figures. • We’ve interviewed over 1 million people • We now work with hundreds of enterprises, including Microsoft, Sweetgreen, and Perplexity So what’s driving this? Traditional research costs $50-100k and takes months. So teams skip it and guess. Then they spend millions - on products nobody wanted, campaigns that don't land, messaging that misses. Listen lets you have hundreds of real customer conversations in hours - so you actually know before you commit. More importantly, the outcomes are speaking for themselves. • Chubbies interviewed >100 kids and discovered why an existing product wasn’t working, redesigned it, and launched a new line that quickly became a top seller. • Teams at Microsoft went from waiting 6–8 weeks for research to getting answers in days directly in customers’ own words. • At Sweetgreen, outlier customer insights led to protein-forward menu items that now shape how they think about new launches. Ribbit led because they were customers first - and somehow our top-performing sales reps, unpaid. We owed them a round. Grateful to the team that kept going when the outcome was unclear. Back to work.
