The future of housing production just showed up in Woburn. We’re proud to announce our partnership with Cabot, Cabot & Forbes deploying a Reframe-built unit as the on-site marketing and sales office for The Bolt innovation hub in Woburn, MA. It’s a Boston area first: no physical AI homebuilder has been embedded inside a major commercial real estate development in greater Boston until now. This partnership is what it looks like when real estate development meets the future of housing production. “We’re working on two of the hardest challenges of our generation: the housing crisis and the climate crisis.” Our CEO, Vikas Enti, joined Claire Asher on the Robot Talk Podcast to discuss why real solutions don't replicate broken systems. What does it actually take to bring AI into the physical world? It starts with rethinking the system, not copying human workflows. That’s how you build robots and AI that can deliver housing at scale. Listen to the full episode in the comments.

What does the future of housing actually look like? Our Co-Founder & Head of Technology, Felipe Polido, joined Matt Crane of MGMT Boston for a conversation filmed inside a completed Reframe home. They discussed how robotics and physical AI are applied inside our fabrication centers, and how that translates into more predictable, scalable housing production on the ground. Appreciate MGMT Boston for spotlighting what we’re building in Boston. Watch the full video here: https://lnkd.in/eHaNTdqd
Welcome Felipe Polido, Co-Founder & Head of Technology at Reframe Systems on this episode of 🔥The Lantern 🔥 Reframe Systems is building affordable, resilient homes across the country powered by robotics, software, and a vertically integrated approach that's redefining how we think about construction. Founded by three Amazon Robotics alumni, Reframe is proving that the future of homebuilding starts on the factory floor…right here in Boston. 🏗️ What is Reframe Systems building in 2026? 🏗️ The team is 3 years in and accelerating. Reframe currently operates a facility in Andover, MA and is actively building a 12-home community in Devens, Mass. They have roughly $15M in signed contracts across both LA and Boston, making real progress toward their mission of making homes more affordable and resilient. They're also closing a new investment round in the months ahead, fueling growth across the company. 🧠 What makes Reframe's approach unique? 🧠 This isn't just modular housing. Reframe has built a deeply integrated operation, architecture, software, robotics, and field deployment all under one roof. Carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and engineers working side by side. Every operator on the factory floor works from iPads with generated instructions. CNC machines and robotic systems pull from the same upstream software. The team has built custom software that takes an architectural design and transforms it into manufacturing instructions with very low design cost, driving real efficiency across the entire pipeline. 🤔 What has Felipe learned from building physical AI companies? 🤔 Felipe's career spans Amazon Robotics to now building a physical AI company from scratch. His biggest lesson is to build manually first understand the requirements, and then ask if it should be automated. Too often in robotics, engineers want to build the technology first and figure out where it fits later. Felipe urges builders to flip it, stat with the customer need, then build technology to serve it. Sometimes that means a robot, sometimes it's all software, sometimes it's workflows. The goal is always the same: better cost, timeline, and quality for customers. 🤝 How can we help Reframe Systems grow? 🤝 Reframe is hiring across the board. Software developers, robotics engineers, mechanical engineers, architects, designers, etc. If the mission of making housing more affordable and resilient blending robotics, AI, and real world impact Felipe and the team would love to connect! The Lantern is brought to you by MGMT Boston & Invest Northern Ireland – Americas this month

The US has thousands of local building codes that vary by location, and for most builders, that complexity makes scale incredibly difficult. At Reframe Systems, we’re building a production model that can standardize the most repeatable parts of construction while still adapting to local requirements, helping deliver quality homes faster. Our Co-Founder & Head of Technology, Felipe Polido, joined This Old House Radio Hour to share what scalable homebuilding looks like in practice. Listen to the full episode: https://lnkd.in/ecdqCnm6

“With a 4.7 million home shortage, the US can’t afford incremental gains. If the industry adopted the level of automation we’re building, we could expand capacity where it matters most.” Thank you to Robotics and Automation News for the thoughtful Q&A with our CEO, Vikas Enti, on making automation work at scale. At Reframe, robotics and physical AI are designed to multiply human capability, helping deliver high-quality, climate-resilient housing faster, more predictably, and at the scale this moment demands. What if a four-bedroom home could be assembled in a single day? We’re thrilled to be moving forward on a new housing project in Devens, Massachusetts. At 25 Adams Circle, Reframe Systems plans to deliver 12 for-purchase homes by shifting complex work into a controlled production environment. This allows site preparation and fabrication to run in parallel, with full homes set on site in a single day. We're excited for our partnership with MassDevelopment and the opportunity to support new housing solutions in Massachusetts. Thank you to Jon Chesto and Boston Globe Media for the coverage. “Housing construction feels like trying to build a ship inside a bottle.” As our CEO Vikas Enti explains, the industry has long been constrained by on-site limitations. At Reframe, we invert that model by building the “ship” first, starting with walls and windows in a controlled production environment. This approach delivers greater precision, efficiency, and scalability than traditional job sites, helping make high-quality housing easier to deliver where it’s needed most. Proud to see Vikas and the Reframe team featured in The Salt Lake Tribune for advancing modular housing as a cost-effective, scalable solution to Utah and the broader national housing crisis.
