As part of the Public Library Association, we invite you to explore the Arvonne Fraser Library in Minneapolis. Led by Quinn Evans principal Ann K. Dilcher, AIA, LEED AP, APT RP, we are deeply grateful to share this experience with Branch Supervisor Joyce Linman and Hennepin County Library Director Scott Duimstra. Designed originally as a bank by Ralph Rapson, the Arvonne Fraser Library is a distinctive example of #midcenturymodern design. Working with Hennepin County Library, Quinn Evans, alongside MacDonald & Mack Architects, helped renew the building while preserving its defining architectural character and adapting the space to better serve today’s users. The #renovation reopened a closed lower level, introduced #daylight into the heart of the building, and created #welcomingspaces for reading, learning, and community gathering. Drop in beginning at 5:30 PM to hear directly from the #library leadership team about the building’s transformation and its role in the community today. 📅 Thursday, April 2 | 5:30 - 7:00 PM 📍Arvonne Fraser Library, Minneapolis, MN #PLA2026 #PublicLibraries #LibraryDesign #HistoricPreservation

Libraries are places that strive to support a variety of activities and cater to a wide range of ages, and there’s a lot that libraries can offer. Through meaningful conversations with our clients and the communities they serve, our team takes the time to understand what each place requires. We respond to these insights with functional solutions that are customized to these needs. If something doesn’t exist, we can create it. In this video, Quinn Evans principal and interior designer Shannon Wray, CID, LEED AP, shares how our collaborative approach shaped the development of a much-needed custom furniture solution for Fairfield Library in Henrico, Virginia. Created in partnership with the client and TMC Furniture, the carrel can now be found in #libraries across the country! Curious to learn more about how we can help your library make a difference for your community? We’ll be at the Public Library Association conference (#PLA2026) in Minneapolis from April 1-3 and we’re excited to hear what’s on your mind!
