About us

Quality Matters (QM) is the global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. It provides a scalable quality assurance system for online and blended learning used within and across organizations. When you see QM Certification Marks on courses or programs, it means they have met QM Course Design Standards or QM Program Review Criteria in a rigorous review process. A member-based non-profit organization, QM is one of the largest providers of assessed professional development for online faculty. While many organizations offer “sit and get” webinars or issue certificates of completion for lightly-facilitated workshops, QM courses and workshops feature rigorous assessments and robust facilitation. This professional development supports QM quality assurance at the member organization and throughout the QM community.

    • QM Research Online Conference - a Quality Matters Event
  • QM Quality Matters reposted this

I recently completed the APPQMR (Applying the Quality Matters Rubric) workshop through Quality Matters. The training focuses on evaluating and improving the design of online and hybrid courses using the QM Quality Matters Rubric, with emphasis on course alignment, learner engagement, and evidence-based course review practices. Another key emphasis was #accessibility in course design. The Quality Matters accessibility standards highlight the importance of designing courses so that all students—including those using assistive technologies—can fully engage with course content. This experience strengthened my approach to intentional course design, accessibility, and quality assurance in online and hybrid learning environments. I look forward to applying these principles to create well-aligned, and engaging learning experiences for students.
