We have been spending time reviewing the 2026 Health Care Workforce Scan from the American Hospital Association, and the themes feel incredibly aligned with the conversations we are having every day with hospital and health system leaders. The pressure is real. And it is multidimensional. Here is what stands out: → Staffing models are being redesigned, not simply backfilled Organizations are rethinking how care is delivered - expanding team-based models, building float pools, creating internal agencies, and investing in predictive scheduling.
