Strength, service, and resilience 🇺🇸 When Mr. Calloway, a proud Navy veteran and long term resident, came to therapy, his goal was simple but powerful: to walk again and regain his independence. Through hard work with our OT and PT teams and a positive attitude every single day, he made incredible progress. From needing significant assistance to now walking up to 300 feet with a rolling walker and making his way to the dining room, Mr. Calloway is doing what matters most to him again. Love was in the air and so was incredible teamwork at Wicomico County Nursing Home in Salisbury MD 💙 Our February Celebrate With Us winners brought OT and Speech Therapy together to create something truly special this Valentine’s Day. What started as a card-making activity became a meaningful experience centered around connection, creativity, and purpose for our long-term care residents. Celebrate With Us was created to highlight creative, group-based therapy experiences that bring patients together while supporting meaningful clinical outcomes. What started as a focus on developing group treatment has grown into a way to showcase how connection, collaboration, and engagement can elevate the therapy experience. From strengthening fine motor skills to encouraging communication and social engagement, this interdisciplinary collaboration brought therapy goals to life in a fun and memorable way. Most importantly, it created moments of joy, laughter, and connection that our residents were excited to share with their loved ones.
