What a night to remember! 🎉 Plano ISD came together to celebrate our incredible educators at the 2026 Teacher of the Year Gala during National Teacher Appreciation Week. More than 1,200 educators, PTA members, district leaders, community partners and sponsors joined us to honor the people who make a difference every day. This year’s theme, “The Torch Begins Here,” was a powerful reminder that every student’s journey starts with a teacher who cares. We celebrated our Teachers of the Year, the Marylin Brooks Excellence in Education top 10 finalists and our top elementary and secondary teachers of the year. We were also honored to have Marylin Brooks there to recognize this year’s finalists in person.
