  • 💰 Most agencies make money when you don't understand your own marketing. Think about it. If you knew exactly what was working, exactly what wasn't, and exactly how to replicate the results yourself, why would you keep paying them? The dependency is the product. Here's what that looks like in practice. You don't have access to your own ad accounts. Your analytics live in their dashboard, not yours. You ask a simple question and get a 47-slide deck in return. The day you leave, the strategy walks out the door with them. 👉 Here's how you take it back. First, demand access to everything. Every login, every account, every platform your marketing touches should have you listed as the owner. Not the agency. Second, ask for documentation on every strategy. If they can't explain what they're doing in plain language, they either don't know or they don't want you to know. Both are problems. Third, make sure you're being taught, not just serviced. The right agency builds your internal understanding as they build your strategy. When the engagement ends, you should know more than when you started. 🤝 At Plan Left we document everything, hand over every login, and make sure you understand exactly how your marketing works while we build it. Your strategy belongs to you. That's what a real partnership looks like. 🔗 Ready to actually own your marketing? Visit planleft.com/contact #PlanLeft #MarketingStrategy #AgencyLife

  • 📉 Every founder has a story about an agency that didn't deliver. The pitch was perfect. The promises were big. And then month three arrived and suddenly every question got a vague answer, every metric was "trending in the right direction," and accountability quietly disappeared from the conversation. 👉 That's the Trust Gap. And it's more common than it should be. Plan Left CEO, Matt Smith, breaks down exactly what it looks like and, more importantly, how to spot an agency that operates differently before you sign anything. The truth is, the right agency isn't going to flinch when you ask hard questions. They're going to welcome them. Have you ever experienced the Trust Gap with an agency? Drop it in the comments 👇 #PlanLeft #DigitalMarketing #MarketingAgency

  • Visit Humphreys County, Tennessee had something special. Rolling hills, rich history, and the kind of small-town charm that makes people want to stay a little longer. ⚠️ The problem? Nobody was finding them online. Their digital presence wasn't reflecting the destination they actually were. The right people weren't discovering them. And the ones who did land on their site weren't sticking around long enough to care. They didn't need more content. They needed a strategy built around how real people actually search for places to visit. 👉 So that's where we started. New SEO foundation. Smarter content built around traveler intent. A platform designed specifically for tourism discovery. Every piece connected to the same goal — get the right eyes on Humphreys County and give them a reason to show up. The result? ✅ 253% increase in page views. ✅ 106% increase in users. Not from a viral moment. Not from a lucky campaign. From a strategy that was built to last. This is what it looks like when a destination finally gets the digital presence it deserves. 👇 Check out the full case study in the comments. #PlanLeft #DigitalMarketing #TourismMarketing #CaseStudy #SEO #VisitHumphreys

  • 📈Follower count is one of the most misused metrics in marketing. A large audience that does not convert is not an asset. It is a distraction that creates the feeling of progress without the results. 💰 The businesses consistently generating the best return from their content are not the ones with the biggest following. They are the ones who built the right following. Smaller, more specific, more aligned with what they actually sell. When you optimize for the right audience instead of the largest audience, everything improves. Content gets more relevant. Ad targeting gets more efficient. Conversion rates go up. Customer lifetime value goes up. Which one does your strategy actually reflect right now? A or B? 👇 #PlanLeft #MarketingStrategy #ContentMarketing

  • Here is what each of these red flags is actually costing you: ⚠️ A broad audience definition drives up your cost per click, lowers your conversion rate, and produces campaigns that feel generic because they are. The more specific your audience, the less you spend to reach the people most likely to act. ⚠️ Not owning your marketing accounts means you have no continuity if your agency relationship ends. No historical data. No saved audiences. No performance benchmarks. You start from zero every time you make a change. ⚠️ Ignoring your analytics means you are making every budget decision without evidence. You might be scaling something that is not working or cutting something that is. The data removes the guesswork entirely. Three fixable problems. All of them quietly compounding. 👉 Which one do you want to tackle first? Drop it in the comments and we will point you in the right direction. 🔗 Done letting your marketing work against you? • 👉 The agency evaluation process is broken. Most businesses compare decks, sit through pitches, and make a decision based on who felt most confident in the room. Six months later they are surprised by what they did not think to ask upfront. Plan Left CEO. Matt Smith, walks through the four questions that actually matter before signing with any marketing agency. We put this on video ourselves because we are confident in our answers. Ask these to every agency you are evaluating, including us. 🚫 Stop settling for the wrong partner. Visit https://lnkd.in/giAueggZ #PlanLeft #MarketingAgency #MarketingStrategy

  • A client relationship since 2015 is not just a retention metric. It is a signal that the work holds up over time, that the communication stays strong, and that the results keep justifying the partnership year after year. We are proud of everything we have built with Remick Moore at Remick Architecture. And grateful for a decade of trust. 🚫 Stop settling for campaigns that underdeliver. 🔗 Visit https://lnkd.in/e85S2uXr #PlanLeft #ClientWin #MarketingResults

  • 📰 Plan Left Marketing Digest | Monthly Edition Instagram has quietly leveled the playing field, and most brands have not adjusted their strategy to take advantage of it. Follower count no longer determines how many people see your content. The algorithm is now distributing posts based on engagement quality, specifically saves, shares, and watch time, not audience size. What this means in practice: a brand with 500 followers and exceptional content can now outperform a brand with 500,000 followers posting mediocre content. The barrier to reach is no longer your following. It is the quality of what you publish. The strategic pivot is clear. Every piece of content needs a hook worth stopping for, information worth saving, and enough substance to hold attention through to the end. If your current social strategy is still optimizing for follower growth over content quality, this is the month to recalibrate. Need help adapting your strategy? • Each of these warning signs points to a specific, solvable problem. Here is what is actually going on behind each one: 🔍 You Google your business and land on page 3. Rankings below page one typically indicate a gap in one of three areas: content authority, technical SEO health, or backlink quality. A proper audit will tell you which lever to pull first. 🔍 Your competitor has half your budget and twice your traffic. SEO is not a spending competition. It is a relevance competition. Competitors who outrank you have likely invested in content depth, site speed, structured data, and earned backlinks. These are all buildable advantages. 🔍 Your website exists. Nobody is finding it. Organic visibility does not come by default. It requires keyword-targeted content, a crawlable site structure, and consistent signals that tell search engines your pages are worth surfacing. Without these, even a well-designed website is functionally invisible. 🔍 Your last SEO effort was adding keywords once in 2022. Google releases thousands of algorithm updates annually. Strategies that produced results in 2022 may be outdated or counterproductive today. SEO is an ongoing program, not a one time project. 🔍 You are not sure if your SEO is working. If there are no benchmarks, no rank tracking, and no attribution connecting organic search to leads or revenue, there is no way to evaluate or improve performance. Measurement is not optional. It is the foundation. Every one of these gaps is fixable with the right strategy. The first step is understanding exactly where you stand. We offer a free SEO review with no pitch attached. Real findings, plain language, clear next steps. Claim yours at https://lnkd.in/e85S2uXr #PlanLeft #SEO #DigitalMarketing
