Pi Kappa Alpha is dedicated to developing men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character.

About us

Pi Kappa Alpha was founded in Room 47 West Range at the University of Virginia in 1868. Since then, it's developed into an international brotherhood and become one of the largest fraternal organizations in the world. How? It's simple. Pi Kappa Alpha has remained dedicated to developing men of integrity, intellect, success and high moral character, and to fostering a truly lifelong fraternal experience. Our members continue to have a positive impact on their campuses, their communities and throughout their life. We believe the fraternal experience makes better men, better friends, better husbands, better fathers, and better citizens.

  • As March comes to a close, stay aware of the signs of problem gambling and take action early to support yourself and your brothers. Many college students report not knowing where to turn for help with a gambling problem, but resources are available. Knowing where to go is a critical first step in taking control and supporting those around you. Through our partnership with Birches Health, members have access to confidential online care provided by specially trained gambling addiction counselors. If you or someone you know may need support, visit bircheshealth.com/pike, email help@bircheshealth.com, and follow @BirchesHealth for tips and tools.

  • Tomorrow morning, PIKE Network is hosting a live seminar that pulls back the curtain on what it actually takes to build something meaningful. Todd Jochem (Indiana State, Theta Omicron '87) joins us to share lessons from his entrepreneurial journey: turning down a grant that didn’t feel right, pushing through rejection, and ultimately taking the leap with a young family, limited savings, and no safety net. Whether you’re considering entrepreneurship, mapping out your career, or just trying to figure out your next move, this session is designed to challenge how you think about risk, timing, and growth. • With gambling more accessible than ever before, it’s important to understand how to engage responsibly if you choose to bet. Responsible gambling starts with setting clear boundaries and making informed decisions. Some key principles include setting a budget you can afford to lose, only betting with a clear mind, understanding that there are no “locks” or guaranteed outcomes, never borrowing money to place bets, and avoiding the temptation to chase losses. Gambling should always remain a form of entertainment, not a financial strategy. Recognizing these guidelines can help reduce risk and encourage healthier decision-making. If you or someone you know may be struggling with gambling, support is available through our partner Birches Health, which offers confidential online treatment programs with specially trained counselors.
