Engaged Employees. Resilient Relationships. Collaborative Cultures.

About us

We are a national consulting and training firm specializing in culture building, leadership and people initiatives. We were originally founded by Brad Federman in 2003 with an emphasis on amplifying Brands by leveraging culture; and customer and associate relationships. What started off as an idea to provide more relevant and unique human resources and talent management solutions has grown into a proven organization with a strong track record. PerformancePoint is more than a name. It is an intentional, directional stake in the ground. It is meant to tell you who we are. Both “performance” and “point” have very specific meanings. Performance means the process of carrying out or accomplishing a task. Performance is all about success. Point means the tapered sharpened end of a tool and the punctuation for the end of a sentence meaning period. When you combine those two words and make them one we begin to describe who we are. We are the company that helps sharpen your tools to drive your success. Period. It’s more than an academic exercise. We combine research-driven knowledge within the trenches experience to create practical solutions that reflect our clients We put your Brand before ours. We are only as successful as our client’s achievements. We understand that you know your business and we know ours. When we work with you we focus on you collaborating along the way. We are adaptive. Business and work environments have changed. Our solutions are built on the tried and true, but they are updated to reflect today and more importantly tomorrow. We focus on our strengths. We are not trying to be everything to everyone. We know what we are good at and play to those strengths. We don’t push rope uphill. We recognize your strengths and time constraints and we find ways for you to gain traction given the pressures you face each and every day.

Got to spend some time with Brad Federman, CEO of Performance Point. In one convo, I picked up a simple framework for raising standards without crushing morale. Every scaling team struggles with that balance. Also walked away with a signed copy of his book. Free insights and autograph. Big win. If you or your team are serious about leveling up performance and culture, Brad’s the real deal. Worth the follow.

What an incredible kickoff to the Fortune50 Members Conference! On Day 1, we were energized by an insightful keynote from Brad Federman, who challenged us to think boldly about Leadership that Future-Proofs Your Business. Brad’s deep experience as a culture and leadership expert reminded us that the leaders who thrive don’t just respond to change — they shape it, ensuring people, purpose, and performance are aligned for long-term success. Then we shifted to the human side of leadership with Pam Boney of Tilt 365, who delivered a powerful session on “Tilting Presence” and the True Tilt Profile. Pam brought to life the importance of understanding who we are, how we show up, and why balancing character and presence is essential in addition to the doing of leadership. The combination of Brad’s strategic lens and Pam’s human-centered approach created the perfect balance between the doing and the being of leadership — actionable frameworks and self-awareness insights that will truly help leaders lead with both impact and authenticity. Feeling inspired after Day 1 — grateful for the wisdom shared and the conversations sparked. Looking forward to what’s ahead! #Leadership #FutureProof #Fortune50 #ConferenceRecap #PersonalDevelopment

Let's use the BAFTA controversy to start a conversation... Person A: I just don’t see why the word had to be that word. Even if it’s Tourette’s, why is that specific slur in their brain? It feels like an excuse for deep-seated racism. Person B: I understand why it feels that way, and your reaction is valid because that word carries so much trauma. But the science of Coprolalia is actually really counterintuitive. It’s often called "the brain’s search for the ultimate taboo." The brain latches onto the most "forbidden" thing possible, specifically because the person knows it’s the worst thing they could say. It’s a glitch in the brain's inhibition center, not a window into their soul. Person A: But what about the Black guests in the front row? They didn’t ask to be part of a "neurological experiment." They just had to sit there and be insulted at a celebration. Person B: You’re 100% right. And that’s where the "feeling badly for all parties" comes in. Their night was marred. Their peace was interrupted. We can’t tell them not to be hurt. But we can also recognize that the guest with Tourette's likely felt a profound sense of shame and loss of agency. Imagine your worst nightmare, saying the thing you find most abhorrent, happening in front of millions against your will. Person A: So what’s the solution? Just let it happen? Person B: The solution is education before the event and grace after it. Maybe the "learning experience" here is for organizers to prepare audiences for neurodiverse guests better. But more importantly, it's for us as a public to stop looking for a "bad guy" in every tragedy. If we blame the guest, we punish someone for a disability. If we ignore the slur, we minimize racism. Grace is the middle ground where we acknowledge the harm, explain the cause, and move forward with more empathy for everyone involved. Person A: I guess it’s easier to be angry than it is to sit with how complicated this is. Person B: Exactly. Complexity is uncomfortable, but that’s where the growth happens. We can support the Black community and the neurodiverse community at the same time by choosing understanding over outrage. What do you think? Is this possible? Love to hear your thoughts.

  • Do you have a "Silent Culture"? You look at your employee surveys. People seem happy. The workload is fine. But when it comes time to refer new talent, your employees are silent. Why aren't your best people advocating for your brand? The answer usually comes down to a lack of Psychological Safety. Employees who lack this safety are 40 times less likely to offer the discretionary effort and advocacy required for innovation. If they love the actual work but fear the leadership, they will never recommend you to their peers. Advocacy is the purest measure of trust. It tells the world whether people truly believe in their leaders. As leaders, we have to ask ourselves: Are we creating an environment where people feel safe enough to speak up and proud enough to invite others in?

Stop guessing why your best people are leaving. We often think it's about the money, the perks, or the remote work policy. But a global analysis of over 60,000 employee voices reveals a different reality. The single strongest predictor of employee retention isn't a soft skill; it's development. When employees strongly agree that their manager cares about their growth and development, they are 25 times more likely to stay with the company. It's that simple. Engagement is no longer just a morale issue; it is a business survival issue. Are your managers trained to build pathways, or just manage tasks? Let's discuss in the comments: What was the most impactful growth conversation you’ve ever had with a leader?

The 3-Question Audit for Your Career Most people quit because they’re tired. Some stay because they have been told winners never quit. The best people quit because they’re stagnant. If you’re staring at your resignation letter (or just staring at the ceiling at 2 AM), run your current role through this "Stay or Go" framework: Is it Hard or is it Wrong? Growth requires friction; burnout requires an exit. Don't quit because the work is difficult; quit if the environment is toxic or the values don't align. Are you Learning or Repeating? Ten years of experience is valuable. One year of experience repeated ten times is a trap. If you aren't gaining new "units of value," you’re paying with your time. Is this a Bridge or a Barricade? Every job should be moving you toward the life you want. If your current role is actively pulling you away from your long-term goals, it’s no longer a career; it’s a distraction. The Bottom Line: Don't leave because you're running away. Leave because you've outgrown the room.

  • Underrepresented groups are 38x more likely to feel proud when diversity is visible in leadership. "You can't be what you can't see." This isn't just a catchy phrase; it's a statistical reality in our latest engagement study. We found that employees from underrepresented groups are 38x more likely to feel proud of their company when they see diversity reflected in senior leadership. If your your C-Suite remains homogenous, you are hitting a "Pride Ceiling." Representation at the top isn't just optics; it's the primary driver of emotional commitment for your diverse talent. Look at your company's "About Us" page. Does it look like the future you are trying to build?

  • Did you know you’re 5x more likely to be promoted if you have a mentor? That’s impressive, but here’s the real kicker: you are 6x more likely to be promoted if you are a mentor. Mentoring isn't just about giving back; it often benefits the mentor even more than the mentee. Want to see these results in your own organization? PerformancePoint helps you build world-class mentoring programs that actually scale. Let’s talk about how to get your team to that 6X mark.

  • We are often asked if training leaders in "soft skills" actually yields a hard ROI. We analyzed over 60,000 global employee responses to find out. The math is unequivocal: leadership behaviors are not HR perks; they are strategic differentiators. Here is what happens when leaders get it right: • Retention: When managers actively invest in employee growth, those employees are 25x more likely to stay. • Discretionary Effort: When leaders demonstrate high integrity, employees are 45x more likely to go above and beyond. • Brand Advocacy: When leaders create psychological safety, employees are 40x more likely to recommend the company to top talent. Engagement isn't a morale issue anymore; it's a business survival issue. The question isn't whether you can afford to develop your managers. It's whether you can afford the exponential cost of not doing it. 2026 is the year for talent development. Let's get to work.
