We’re enabling robots to build, so humans can create.
About us
Path Robotics was founded by brothers Andy and Alex Lonsberry with a desire to help fill workforce gaps in the manufacturing industry. At Path Robotics, we understand manufacturers are constantly being asked to do more with less; more reshoring, more demand, and more requirements with less time, less talent, and less tolerance. We’re helping guide the Fourth Industrial Revolution in manufacturing by providing robotic support to help keep up with those challenges. Our welding robots absorb high-volume, repetitive tasks by leveraging AI and machine learning. By doing this, we’re putting humans in safe, productive environments that allows manufacturers to increase productivity and grow their business.

Path Robotics and ALM Positioners Inc. have formed a multi-year strategic partnership to deliver fully autonomous, AI-driven welding systems that eliminate complexity and accelerate intelligent automation across manufacturing! ALM has been named our Preferred Positioner Partner, and this milestone deepens a long-standing relationship, uniting best-in-class hardware and software to enable high-mix, multi-pass welding without reprogramming. “ALM is the ideal hardware partner as we scale across North America.” - Andrew Lonsberry, CEO of Path Robotics. “Together, we’re delivering solutions where traditional automation simply can’t compete.” Our joint system, featuring Path’s AW3 and ALM’s positioners, adapts to extreme part variability. It helps industries such as heavy equipment, trailers, energy, and aerospace overcome skilled labor shortages and production challenges. “Path is reshaping what’s possible with robotic welding,” added Pat Pollock, CEO of ALM Positioners. “We’re proud to power this next generation of intelligent automation.” We're excited, and you can learn more here! - https://lnkd.in/eKEGsPNz See both Path & ALM in action at Automate Show Detroit, Booth #8420, May 12–15!

Did you know that the United States accounts for only 0.1% of global shipbuilding?! 🦾 Automation needs to be adopted at scale for the U.S. to keep up 🇺🇸
⚓ Here’s what you need to know about Trump’s recent executive order: “Restoring America's Maritime Dominance." On April 9, President Trump signed a sweeping executive order to revive U.S. commercial shipbuilding. ➡️ Why now? 🚢 The U.S. builds <1% of the world’s commercial ships. China builds ~50%. The administration is calling this a “decades-long decline” that leaves the U.S. exposed to a national security risk. ➡️ What does this mean for those in shipbuilding? 📈 Expect financial incentives for U.S. & Allied shipbuilders. These incentives will provide loan guarantees, small shipyard grants, etc. 👩🏭Skilled labor reform: 🔹 Expanding maritime academies 🔹 Fast-tracking credentialing reform 🔹 Scholarships for U.S. mariners and allied educators But the most interesting and potentially concerning for shipbuilders... 🚨 Contract scrutiny. The administration has tasked DOGE with reviewing current Navy contracts to root out delays and inefficiencies. This means potentially pushing shipbuilders to adopt new practices and automation tactics to improve speed to deployment. The bottom line: 🚢 The administration is acknowledging what the shipbuilding industry has known for years: we don’t have enough skilled labor to meet growing demand. This isn't about adopting automation to replace human works, we just simply don't have enough of the skilled humans we need to keep our nation safe. Period. 😱 One company I spoke with recently stated they are paying nearly $100/hr. fully burdened and still have over 200+ vacancies in their welding department. Another says they pay nearly 1.5X that per welder to put them through their welding school. And they still see a 20 - 30% turnover rate. 🦾 Automation needs to be adopted at scale for the U.S. to keep up🇺🇸 #Manufacturing #Robotics #Automation #AI #Welding #CapEx #OpEx #SmartFactory #IndustrialTech #PathRobotics #RaaS #FutureOfWork #Innovation #OperationalExcellence #AIRobotics #Industry #IndustrialRobotics #Industrialai #Industry4.0 #Industry5.0 #WeldAutomation #Fabrication #AutonomousWelding #WeldingRobots #WeldingEquipment #RoboticWelding #Energy #Infrastructure #DataCenter #AIBoom #DataCenterBoom #Defense #Shipbuilding #SkilledLabor #USA #MultiPass #Heavy #HeavyIndustry #ITAR #Shipbuilding #Navy

Great companies are built by great people. At Path Robotics, our competitive edge comes from the incredible talent and passion of our team. Today, we’re excited to spotlight Arsh Tangri, who recently joined us as a Machine Learning Engineer. In just a short time, he has dove right into being hands on with our robots, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on board. “Robotics is the last frontier that hasn’t been solved yet. There has been a decent headway in machine learning but robotics still has a long way to go. We are accomplishing something that no one has ever done before.” - Arsh Tangri Machine Learning Engineer

Here at Path, we don’t just run factory acceptance tests; we engineer outcomes. We've recently completed the largest FAT in company history, delivering multiple production-ready cells for a single enterprise customer… just 78 days from signature. Speed. Scale. Precision. Not as separate metrics, but as a unified value proposition. That kind of execution doesn’t happen by accident. It takes a team that thrives on complexity and a mindset built around challenging the status quo. One of the key drivers of this success was Joseph Studley, whose leadership helped turn a bold timeline into a reality. We don’t just build robots that weld — we build systems that scale. This way, our partners can do more, faster.

We were proud to host OhioX at Path Robotics today! As a nonprofit championing innovation and technology across the state, OhioX brings together leaders and organizations that are shaping the future of Ohio’s economy—and we’re honored to be part of that mission. During their visit, we had the opportunity to showcase our work in AI- driven autonomous robotics, & share insights on the future of tech in the Midwest, as well as connecting with others who are just as passionate about building in Ohio as we are. Big thanks to the OhioX team for the visit—and for all the work you do to support a thriving tech ecosystem in our state.
