Day in the life of our Mokena Plant Operator- Dustin Balduff ☀️ It’s early mornings for Dustin opening the plant, but he does it with discipline and the best attitude, not to mention going home every day to be the best husband and father to his wife and two daughters🫶 We are grateful for the work you do Dustin, thanks for waking up with the plant every day to get our trucks on the road and material moving! #plantoperator #construction #bluecollar #heavyequipment #dayinthelife

Complex pours demand the right partners, clear coordination, and disciplined execution. We were proud to support Lindblad Construction, The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western, and Yard1 on this foundation pour at an active industrial facility in South Chicago. From pre-pour planning to final placement, this project reflected what strong collaboration delivers in demanding environments. Isn’t she lovely? This is our Volumetric Mixer truck! These trucks bring the concrete plant directly to your job, mixing materials right on-site, so the concrete is always fresh and tailored to your project. This means zero waste and the ability to adjust mixes in real-time to handle changing conditions on the job. It’s still the same concrete and the same quality, just mixed on site! #constructionindustry #concrete #readymixconcrete #concreteconstruction

Jessica is an inspiration. She shows up with the best attitude, brings skill to the job and finishes the day with excellence. Her kids are so proud and we are blessed to have her. Happy Mother’s day! We are so grateful for and proud of all of our working mothers who are raising a strong generation. Thank you, moms, for the work you do that goes unseen and the investment you make into your kids every day. And to those who are missing a mom, are wanting to be a mom, or have pain around this day, we are praying for you 💐 #mothersday #workingmom #constructionindustry #womeninconstruction

When the University of Notre Dame set out to cut its carbon footprint in half by 2030, Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc. teamed up with us to make it happen. Together, we developed a concrete mix with 80% cement replacement, proving that sustainable solutions can be both durable and cost-effective. This groundbreaking mix, featuring slag cement, was key to building a 2.5 MW hydroelectric facility on the St. Joseph River, which will offset nearly 9,700 tons of CO₂ annually and power the campus with clean energy. This project was recognized as the Slag Cement in Sustainable Concrete Award winner from the Slag Cement Assoc. durability category. At Ozinga, we believe in partnering to create solutions that leave a lasting impact, for our communities and the planet. Let's team up to accomplish your sustainability goals. Earth Day is a good reminder that even concrete can do better. By replacing a portion of traditional cement with slag, a recycled byproduct of steel production, we lower CO₂ while improving durability and long-term performance. We've only got one Earth, let's do our best to sustain it 🌍 For more information on how to make your project more sustainable, visit: https://lnkd.in/ep6f7cYh #earthday #sustainability #buildsustainably #lowercarbonfootprint

Our Research & Development team had an incredible time at the American Concrete Institute National Convention! Marty Ozinga shared insights with ACI student chapters about our company, its goals, and the future of the industry. Ryan Cialdella discussed the challenges and opportunities of implementing low-carbon concrete, highlighting some of our pilot projects with hyperscaler partners. Scott Kelly emphasized the importance of carbon budgeting and looking beyond just EPDs. A big congratulations to Boyd Clark from CTL Group for winning the raffle and taking home an Ozinga truck! #sustainability #concreteindustry #ACINationalConvention
