Because what is known must be shared.
About us
OCLC is a global library organization that provides shared technology services, original research, and community programs for its membership and the library community at large. We are librarians, technologists, researchers, pioneers, leaders, and learners. With thousands of library members in more than 100 countries, we come together as OCLC to make information more accessible and more useful. Whether we’re supporting advancements on the leading edge of science or helping children build a strong learning foundation, shared knowledge is the common thread. People can find the answers they need to solve important problems in their lives, in their communities, and in the world. Together we make breakthroughs possible. Both big and small. Because what is known must be shared.

#EngagedLibraries connect adults to diplomas and careers. 🎓 Prince William Public Libraries are helping adults hit reset with Career Online High School, a free program for people ages 20 and older without a diploma. Students earn a high school diploma plus a career certificate, along with practical job skills they can use right away. It’s a big deal: more education means better job options, stronger families, and a healthier local economy. Fifty adults have graduated over the past five years that the library has supported this life-changing program. ➡️ See the program in action: https://oc.lc/4rWHV5S --- 📲 How has your library helped people move forward in their lives? Share your story on social media and include #EngagedLibraries in your post. You could be featured in an upcoming issue of Abstracts, on our community engagement hub, in an upcoming blog or video, or across our social media channels.
