We’re proud to support initiatives that strengthen collaboration and give back to the broader community! A special shoutout to Troy Schmidt for his involvement in supporting the HIFLD Next initiative alongside Rajan Desai from Fulton Ring. At Niyam, we believe in contributing our expertise to help advance shared data and insights that benefit everyone. Supporting programs like this reflects our commitment to collaboration, innovation, and service beyond our immediate projects. We're looking forward to seeing this initiative continue to grow and make a difference. #Collaboration #GivingBack #HIFLD #Partnerships #Innovation #NiyamIT https://lnkd.in/eJ_yrjHf
Public Environmental Data Partners and Fulton Ring are launching a new GIS data hub, nicknamed “HIFLD Next,” which features an archive of an infrastructure-related data collection that the federal government took down in 2025. HIFLD Next provides tools for users to search, preview and download an archive of data layers previously hosted on Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) Open. HIFLD Next transforms these layers, archived by the Data Rescue Project, into a versioned, dynamic system, providing them in both traditional and emerging geospatial data formats. HIFLD Next will show how civil society can work together to make resilient data infrastructure built on responsiveness and collaborative governance. Read more details about the project here: https://lnkd.in/ePAY-XNb Use HIFLD Next here: https://lnkd.in/eAFXaaHz We invite you to share your feedback and use cases here: https://lnkd.in/e-UdcXEy We also invite organizations and individuals who care about strengthening environmental infrastructure and GIS data access to contribute datasets, tutorials, expertise and other resources: https://lnkd.in/efYjD5eE. —- HIFLD Next is a PEDP-funded project spearheaded by Puneet Kollipara and Fulton Ring co-founders Rajan Desai and Jeremy Herzog. Special thanks to this initiative’s inaugural stewards: Frank Donnelly and Lynda Kellam, Ph.D. at the Data Rescue Project, and Troy Schmidt at Niyam IT. Thank you also to Bill Dollins, Adam Simmons, Amanda Dwelley, and Chris Vaughan for providing guidance, contextual knowledge and technical assistance. Finally, this project was made possible through input, contributions, and donations from community members like you. If you’d like to support our work, you can donate here: https://lnkd.in/gAPu6XeH

Some of the best connections happen when you least expect them! We love seeing Troy out at the NEMA conference after-party doing what he does best: building brand-new, authentic relationships. His ability to connect with people is exactly why he is so effective on his disaster response contract this year. Great work representing the team, Troy! #NEMA #DisasterResponse #CommunityEngagement
Great beards always unite!! I am so thrilled to have picked up some items to add to the collection. This past year I am on my first disaster response contract and what a way to highlight the year! Chris Vaughan was so amazing to take us out for a night while we were in town working for a week long intensive. Thank you Roy E. Dunn for the pin and coin! I appreciate the generosity and that I caught you before the beard is gone. #emergencyresponse #disasters #drca

Always leveling up! 📈 Troy Schmidt attended DataTune Conf to soak up new techniques in data analytics and visual storytelling. We're incredibly proud of our team's dedication to staying at the forefront of the analytics space. Great recap, Troy! #dataanalytics #dataengineering #duckdb #ducklake #whattheduck
DataTune Conf was top tier and worth waking up early to drive down to Nashville. I was so thrilled to meet Alex Monahan from MotherDuck and nerd out over the amazing #DuckLake from DuckDB. If you are starting a data lakehouse today it is the top format I recommend. The rest of the conference was filled with top tier talent sharing insights to level up my data analytics game. I am immediately going to take action implementing techniques from Tim Wilson and Valerie Kroll. facts & feelings I also enjoyed deepening some technical skills in anomaly detection and route solving techniques from Richard Hoehn and Kevin Feasel. There presentations are getting the innovative juices flowing. Can't recommend this conference enough for next year. The feeling of community over commercialization was great! #conference #data #analytics #musicrow
