Founded in 1898, The National Arts Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to stimulate, foster, and promote public interest in the arts and to educate people in the fine arts. Annually, the Club offers more than 150 free programs—both in-person and virtually—to the public, including exhibitions, theatrical and musical performances, lectures and readings, attracting an audience of over 30,000 in-person visitors and thousands more online. Feature programs focus on all disciplines of the arts. Since 2019, the Club has been undergoing a renaissance. New initiatives—such as an artist fellowship, an outdoor concert series, and online programming—have attracted new audiences. At the NAC's landmark clubhouse, the former Samuel Tilden Mansion, efforts have been made to reimagine, renovate, and preserve the building’s galleries and historic spaces. The NAC is also a proud community partner, providing therapeutic art instruction to children in the care of the Administration of Children’s Services, regularly convening New York City art leaders to share ideas and collaborate, presenting a popular series of concerts in collaboration with the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, and more. Here's to celebrating a truly innovative artist! Earlier this month, we had the privilege of awarding our Medal of Honor in Art + Technology to the incredible Joan Jonas. Joan is such a singular artist—a true visionary who embodies what it means to be multidisciplinary and to challenge the boundaries of a medium. It was so wonderful to hear such personal and endearing speeches from our guest speakers, and Joan's close friends, Ana Janevski, David Gruber, and Matt Mullican. Had a bit of a night on Thursday… First Medal of Honor at The National Arts Club was *absolutely* epic! Beyond humbled to meet Secretary Clinton, honoree Donna Karan, Kenneth Cole, Maria Bello, Narcisso Rodriguez, Ed Burns and Christy Turlington Burns, and a host of other incredible people. Had a moment with Donna Karan where we hugged it out - from one South Shore LI girl to another. And the last 2 slides- May I just say: life will keep you humble. Exhibits A) *Always* with the hands …. And B) New workplace… same challenge- streak continues- not one good podium pic 🤣

On Friday evening, HELP USA hosted the fourth annual Art of Resilience Benefit at The National Arts Club, bringing together artists, collectors, and philanthropists to celebrate the role creativity plays in healing and recovery. Hosted by internationally acclaimed artist Mickalene Thomas Studio, the evening featured artwork created by residents participating in HELP USA’s expressive arts therapy programs and a collaborative collage experience led by the artist herself. We also debuted the newest work in the Art of Resilience Print Series: Becoming, 2026 by Shantell M., inspired by her mural for HELP Women’s Center. Only 17 limited edition prints remain, and 100% of proceeds have been donated by the artist to support HELP USA’s work.
