  • Falling asleep is harder when your body and mind aren't ready for it. Music is one of the most effective ways to bridge that gap. Within three minutes of listening to music intentionally designed to promote sleep, your nervous system shifts from alert mode into rest mode. Your heart rate slows and your body becomes physiologically ready for sleep. Over time, it becomes a ritual. Your body starts to associate the music with sleep itself, making the whole process easier night after night. Sleep doesn’t always come naturally. But, the right music helps it come more easily. • The best hotels in the world stand out for having a clear and consistent sense of identity. At the Forbes Travel Guide Summit, Myndstream Founder, Freddie Moross, ACA, explored how luxury brands can use technology to support and express that identity across the guest experience. Luxury hospitality is increasingly shaped by technology that enables more seamless and intentional experiences, helping a brand’s story come through more naturally at every touchpoint. What ultimately matters is the impression guests are left with. The most memorable hotels and spas feel cohesive and unmistakable from the moment you arrive. Music is a powerful tool in shaping that experience. It can be woven throughout the guest journey, from the lobby to the spa to the guest room, helping set tone, reinforce identity, and create a lasting sense of place. Forbes Travel Guide

  • The music you listen to while you work is either helping you focus or pulling you away from it. Our Music Editor, Josh Braunstein, breaks down the three elements he considers when designing music for focus. BPM, or beats per minute, refers to tempo and pacing. Texture is all about how simple or complex the music is. And arrangement, which is the flow of the sound over time. When these three elements are used intentionally, the result is music that works with your brain rather than against it.

  • Sleep is doing more for you than you think. Your brain alone makes up just 2% of your body, but uses 20% of your daily energy. Sleep is when that energy is restored and powers everything else your body needs overnight. Without enough sleep, your body struggles to fight off illness, takes longer to recover, and slowly wears itself down over time. Sleep is what keeps everything in your body running, and it deserves the same care as the rest of your wellbeing routine. Hannah Webb Leanne Campbell The Vanguard

  • A song can pull you back twenty years. At the Forbes Travel Guide Summit, our Head of Music, Jordan Galvan, explained the science behind this. The hippocampus is the part of the brain that forms long-term memories. It ties specific songs to specific moments. Hear that song again, and the brain fires down the same neural pathway it built the first time, bringing the memory with it. In that way, intentionally designed music has the power to shape how guests remember the experience and your brand. Forbes Travel Guide
