As we reach the end of our fourth annual #EssentialEarthDay campaign, we’re proud to share this year’s efforts resulted in record-breaking achievements! This year, our team: 🌱 Donated nearly $1.2M in grants supporting dozens of deserving organizations dedicated to #sustainability and environmental improvement. 🌱 Empowered 450 employees to #volunteer 1,500 hours across nearly 40 volunteer events. 🌱 Provided 306 employees with educational programs on sustainability, proper recycling techniques and waste prevention. We are proud to share a year after the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) set a national standard for six #PFAS compounds in drinking water, our PA team is on track to meet these federal regulations ahead of required compliance in 2029! This progress is thanks to the PFAS standards our team has set since 2016. From building a state-of-the-art lab with high-tech testing equipment that can detect PFAS to installing advanced filters in systems with high PFAS levels, we have made great progress these past nine years, and will continue in the ongoing fight against these “forever chemicals.” https://bit.ly/4cQw0k4 #PFOA #WaterQuality #CleanWater

This past weekend, members of our Aqua PA team and their families participated in our first St. Baldrick's Foundation Fundraiser, raising funds to support St. Baldrick’s in their mission to support the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. More than a dozen “Shavees” represented “Team Aqua Shaves,” shaving their heads in solidarity with those impacted by childhood cancer. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we were able to raise over $50k! Special thanks to Anita Baker from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital - ALSAC for speaking and the Phillie Phanatic for making a special appearance! Earlier this month, Craig Williams, Aqua Indiana Wastewater Supervisor, Jeff Gard, Aqua Indiana Operations Manager, and Lori Kieres, Aqua Indiana Administrative Assistant, attended the 2025 Northeast Regional Science and Engineering Fair to speak to students about the importance of wastewater treatment, our mentor apprenticeship program, and #STEM at Aqua. We are proud to announce the next round of funding through out “Protect Your Drinking Water” grant program! Created in partnership with Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC), grants are awarded to watershed protection and education projects that address invasive species, pollution, and other threats to #WaterQuality.
