The Inspire Empower Impact Award (IEI) recognizes MTCPA members who strengthen the profession through mentorship, service, education, and leadership. This year’s recipient is Rick Reisig, CPA. While many people slow down in retirement, Rick used it as an opportunity to give back even more. His commitment to volunteerism and inspiring the next generation of CPAs is exactly what this award is meant to celebrate. Rick continues to demonstrate that leadership in this profession is not just about career success, but about investing in others and helping the profession grow stronger for the future. Congratulations, Rick, and thank you for the lasting impact you continue to make across the Montana CPA community. We look forward to celebrating you at the Annual Conference! 📅 113th Annual Conference | June 18–19 | Grouse Mountain Lodge, Whitefish 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g3X_gh8q 🎟️ To purchase tickets for the MTCPA Awards Luncheon only: email info@montana.cpa

The George D. Anderson Distinguished Service Award (DSA) is MTCPA's highest honor, recognizing a CPA whose career reflects exceptional service, leadership, and commitment to the profession. This year’s recipient is Clem Lockman. For many of us, Clem was our introduction to tax preparation through the VITA Program. Others know him from Society committees where practical insight and humor usually showed up together. Clem has a way of making people feel welcome while also making the profession stronger. He reminds us that making an impact and enjoying the work are not mutually exclusive. Congratulations, Clem, and thank you for the example you continue to set for Montana CPAs. We look forward to celebrating you at the upcoming 113th Annual Conference! 📅 113th Annual Conference | June 18–19 | Grouse Mountain Lodge, Whitefish 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g3X_gh8q 🎟️ To purchase tickets for the Celebration Dinner only: email info@montana.cpa

Happy National Accounting Day! Today we celebrate the CPAs who help businesses, communities, and individuals navigate important decisions every single day. The CPA Trust campaign is about shining a brighter light on the expertise, integrity, and trust CPAs bring to the table year-round — and helping more people understand the value of the profession. You can help tell that story by submitting a photo to the national “CPA: Trust in Action” digital mosaic. Let’s make sure Montana CPAs are represented. https://lnkd.in/gtcrgVm9 #NationalAccountingDay #CPATrustInAction

Recently, MTCPA’s Board of Directors gathered in Three Forks for our Spring Board Retreat—spending time focused on the future of the profession and the members we serve across Montana. Over several days, board members discussed key initiatives including CPE, AI, member engagement, ethics, financial planning, and preparations for the Annual Meeting. The retreat also created space for thoughtful conversations about where the profession is headed and how MTCPA can continue supporting Montana CPAs in meaningful ways. We’re grateful for the leadership, insight, and dedication of our Board—and for the opportunity to do important work in one of Montana’s beautiful settings.

We’re excited to welcome Brandy Lawson to our 113th Annual Conference next month! Her keynote, “AI Curious to AI Capable,” will be all about helping CPAs move from “I should learn about AI…” to actually using practical AI tools in their day-to-day work. Even better? Her breakout workshop will give attendees real AI experiments they can start using the very next week. Practical. Approachable. Immediately useful.
