AI is changing the way we work—but knowing how to use it effectively is what makes the difference. At Model Mind AI, we take a hands-on, real-world approach to AI training, showing professionals and teams how to make tools like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot work for them. Our expert-led programs go beyond theory. We focus on practical application, personalized coaching, and creative problem-solving—helping organizations integrate AI in ways that enhance productivity, spark innovation, and drive results. Whether you’re looking to develop an AI strategy, make better use of your time, or simply gain confidence using these tools, we’re here to help you make AI work for you—not the other way around.

Updates

  • A theme we see again and again by Friday: AI ROI doesn’t come from moving faster. It comes from moving with focus. Training introduces new possibilities. Coaching helps leaders stay aligned long enough for those possibilities to compound. That’s where ROI actually shows up.

  • We see many leaders invest in AI expecting immediate ROI. What actually unlocks value is slower — and more intentional. One executive team shifted their focus from “Where can AI help?” to “Where do decisions consistently get stuck?” They used AI to: Prepare decision briefs Surface tradeoffs Reduce back-and-forth ROI didn’t come from volume. It came from focus. AI works best when leaders decide where it should matter.

  • Recent leadership research shows that more than half of companies report no measurable benefit from their AI investments. That number surprises people — until they live it. When CEOs ask why AI hasn’t moved the needle, the issue is rarely capability. What we see instead is AI introduced before clarity exists. Common patterns: No clear ownership Fragmented processes “Experimentation” without direction AI starts delivering value only after leaders decide where it matters, who owns it, and how success is defined. Tools don’t create ROI. Leadership alignment does. #LeadershipDevelopment #FutureOfWork #AIforBusiness #ModelMindAI

  • Angela Schultz and this group from Horizontal Talent kept energy and expectations HIGH for this intense 3-day training workshop. We're excited to stay connected and learn how they are applying their new skills.

At the beginning of February, six of our team members came to our headquarters for a three-day AI training with Model Mind AI. The team explored AI fundamentals, custom GPTs, and agent workflows, but the biggest impact wasn’t technical, it was mindset. Here’s what the team had to say: Shannon Drost, “AI is the most inclusive tool I’ve ever used, period. You don’t have to be highly technical to build a powerful GPT or agent. In fact, the real magic happens when business and technology collaborate. That’s where the impact lives." Rachel Enstrom, “You don’t need to be technical to work effectively with AI. Clarity, curiosity, and iteration matter more than expertise. The fastest way to get value from AI is to start small, test openly, and improve as you go. Progress beats perfection.” Nikki F., “The use cases for AI are endless… and can be SO powerful.” Kim Ullstrup, CCWP, “Collaboration when creating workflows or CustomGPT's/Agents is so powerful. Don't build in a silo - share ideas, collaborate and feed off each other. You need different minded people to see the solution in its entirety to determine how to build and how to use AI.” Anna Gerold, “Building efficiencies in AI requires you to think differently and creatively to solve everyday problems. Using AI as a thought partner at every step of the way can help expand your perspective and navigate through the unknown." Jessika Pennebaker, “This week stretched me in ways I didn’t expect, and I’m proud of how much I figured out.” When reflecting on the experience, our trainer Angela Schultz shared, “Spending three days with Horizontal was energizing in the best way. As a staffing organization, Horizontal consistently asked the right question: how does this elevate the human experience? Every AI capability was viewed through the lens of better talent matching, stronger client partnerships, and empowering their recruiters to focus on what people do best.” A big thank you to Angela and the ModelMind team for challenging our thinking and helping us build with intention. We’re excited about what’s ahead as we continue integrating AI in ways that strengthen how we serve our clients, consultants, and teams!

  • Closing out the week, we’re reminded of this gap: Access to AI doesn’t equal adoption. Training gives teams confidence to try. Coaching helps leaders set expectations and reinforce use over time. That combination — capability plus leadership clarity — is what turns experimentation into consistency.

  • We often see executive teams assume AI adoption is happening because tools are available. But availability isn’t the same as usage. One leadership team we worked with realized their people weren’t unsure about AI — they were unsure when and why to use it. Once leaders clarified: Which decisions AI should support What “good usage” looked like Where experimentation was encouraged Adoption stopped being abstract and started becoming consistent. Clarity scales faster than enthusiasm.
