Modern conflict is a competition for information, where the ability to sense, make sense, and act faster than an adversary determines success. But today’s command and control architecture remains static, predictable, and increasingly vulnerable in contested environments. In our latest Mitchell Forum, “The Tactical C2 Imperative: Building a Resilient, Mobile Command and Control Grid,” Lt. Col. Daniel Longstreet argues the Air Force must transition to a mobile, federated C2 grid that can survive, adapt, and degrade gracefully under attack. This approach—integrating tanker-hosted communications, low-cost aerial vehicles, and mobile ground sensors—creates a resilient backbone that preserves decision advantage and enables operations in the most challenging threat environments. A mobile C2 grid is the prerequisite for fighting and winning in contested environments. Read the full Forum: https://lnkd.in/eqckSqGY
