I didn’t learn retention or ecommerce marketing in school. Almost everything I know came from mentors. Both online and IRL. Those relationships made a huge difference for me, but they’re not always easy to find. That’s why I love what MentorPass is doing. If you’re working in retention, lifecycle, or ecommerce and want to talk strategy, pressure test ideas, or just jam on challenges you’re facing, I’d available to connect. You can book time with me here: https://lnkd.in/gSY8Tiu5

Our Co-founder & CEO, Sunny Bonnell, just got awarded Super Mentor on MentorPass. Sunny helped build Motto® from $250 into a world-renowned global branding agency. She’s closed multi-million-dollar deals in under 24 hours and advised executive leaders behind iconic brands like Google, Microsoft, the NFL, Red Bull, and more. She’s a regular contributor on Bloomberg and Yahoo, a global bestselling author, and a Thinkers50 Radar Awardee recognized among the top 1% of the world’s management thinkers. She’s spoken for organizations like Mastercard and Dale Carnegie, serves as a guest advisor in the Hello Alice community, is an Awwwards judge, a portfolio advisor for the Art Institute, and has been named a Top 30 branding expert, WEBBY awardee, GDUSA Top 25 to Watch, and SWAGGER Magazine’s “Visionary Brand Icon.” But titles aren’t why entrepreneurs and agency founders book time with her. They book because growth gets complex and she has built and scaled what she teaches. Pricing feels murky. Sales conversations stall. Hiring gets risky. Leadership gets heavy. Sunny mentors entrepreneurs and creative leaders who feel stuck in one gear and know they’re capable of another level. She can help you strengthen leadership, sharpen positioning, build teams, and make faster, more confident decisions. If you’re building a bold career or scaling an ambitious career and want honest insight with real momentum, this is your room. 1:1 strategy sessions and monthly mentorship now available. "Time teaches all things to him who lives forever, but I have not the luxury of eternity." I spent 3 months trying to figure out my next hire. Then I paid $200 for a 30-minute call. That conversation gave me more clarity than half a year of thinking alone. Here's why paying for expert help is the most asymmetric trade you'll ever make ⬇️ For months, I was stuck on the same questions: • How do I build real culture in my organization? • Who should my next 2–3 key hires be? I kept thinking I could figure it out myself. Spoiler: that’s usually the most expensive option (just paid for with time instead of money.) Then I remembered something Tim Ferriss once said: "If you want to find a silver medalist from the Olympics, two Olympics ago, you can probably get on a Zoom call with them for $100 an hour." The point is this: You DO have access to world-class talent. You just need someone who’s: 1. Substantially better than you 2. Actually able to teach The menu of people you can learn from is way bigger than most people realize. So I asked myself a better question: “Who has already solved this exact problem?” After leaving Accenture, I started researching people who had walked my same path: Consulting → Entrepreneurship → Scaling a real business That search led me to Kenny Hanson, CEO of MentorPass. He also left Accenture to build his own company. Quick version of his story: • Grew up around wealthy operators (friends' parents) • Learned directly from them • Applied what worked • Then asked: “How do I make this accessible to others?” We spoke for 30 minutes. He told me his story, and I shared mine. He connected me with Sunny Bonnell CEO of Motto Her resume speaks for itself: • Thinkers50 Radar honoree • Works with Google, Microsoft, Disney, NFL, Virgin • Keynote speaker for MasterCard, Fast Company, Inc. 30 minutes into that call, I got the clarity I'd been searching for all year. The tradeoff was insane: ⏱️ 30 minutes + a few hundred dollars vs. ⏳ 6–12 months of trial and error Tim was right: you DO have access to world-class expertise. It's mind-bendingly affordable when you realize what you're actually trading. If you're stuck on your next move, don't assume expert help is out of reach. For me, MentorPass compressed months (maybe years) of iteration into a single conversation. 👉 What's one problem you've been circling that an expert could solve in 30 minutes? RJP.

I’m excited and grateful to share that I’m officially a mentor on MentorPass! I’ve been in the direct to consumer space since 2012 and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to help grow several brands including overseeing growth across more than 30 brands during my time running an agency. Along the way I’ve learned a lot from hard mistakes to meaningful optimizations and from what not to do to what actually moves the needle in DTC today. I’m excited to share real world insights around building scaling and navigating the ups and downs of growing a business. No fluff just practical experience from being in it for over a decade. If you’re currently building or developing a brand and think a mentoring session could be helpful feel free to book a call through the link. Absolutely no pressure at all just genuinely excited to be part of the platform and grateful for the opportunity to help where I can. Appreciate everyone who’s supported me along the way 🤝 https://mentorpass.co/bart

Big News: Curtis Matsko is now on MentorPass! Curtis has built one of the best consumer brands over the past twenty years. Portland Leather started in his garage - handmade journals sold at local markets and on Etsy. He reinvested every dollar of profit until the brand hit escape velocity. Never took outside capital, paid off all debt, and now he owns a 9-figure brand generating millions in profit. Along the way, he brought manufacturing in-house and built a team of 1,000+ skilled artisans in León, Mexico. PLG is now the largest leather bag manufacturer in North America. Unlike a lot of venture backed brands chasing growth at all costs, Curtis built PLG the hard way: LTV-first, profit-focused, community-driven. Strong brand, loyal customers, diverse catalog, and an omnichannel engine that converts buyers into lifelong evangelists. These are the principles most founders need but few have access to. I couldn't be more excited to partner with Curtis to share them with you. To celebrate Curtis joining the platform, we're giving away one free mentoring session with him. Comment "CURTIS" below to enter. Winner announced Wednesday, January 21 at 10 AM EST. Follow: MentorPass & Curtis Matsko

Woke up to some love from MentorPass this morning! A few years ago, I was introduced to Kenny Hanson through one of my best friends, Nik Sharma. Fast forward and after being on the platform, I have had the honor of meeting over 100+ founders and teams to help answer their questions when it comes to content, social media, and influencer marketing or just getting started in the space. Thank you Kenny Hanson for giving a resource to so many. If you ever want to chat, come join the party: https://lnkd.in/ekjd8xyH #socialmediamarketing #socialmedia #organicsocialmedia #influencermarketing

£20M ARR for Heights 🚀 - huge milestone for our team of 19 people! 4 years 0 to £10M 1 year £10M to £20M 🙏 This is all, 💯 dtc from heights.com - no retail, no amazon, no distractions, just pure focus on doing one thing better than anyone - retaining our customers with the highest quality products on the market. The result? Of the 120,000 customers we've been lucky enough to serve, 45,000 are now regular monthly subscribers to our products. Those numbers are pretty wild, roughly one third of all people who try Heights essentially feel the benefits of our quality, that they become lifetime subscribers. Our core focus has always and will always be product. We always believed over time, the best product wins in this space and have never ever compromised on this focus. The results are starting to speak for themselves. For those that have followed me for a while, you'll remember us building in public from £0 to £10M with full transparency on how hard that journey was. One of the main reasons I stopped sharing was that people learn more from failure than success and I never wanted this to be about showing off, only the real grind and roller coaster it truly is. It still is. The challenges still exist.. they actually all just have bigger downsides and risks attached to them - but we have a little more experience knowing which ones feel worth taking. We couldn't be more proud, and it's just in time for us to move into a slightly bigger office next week as we welcome our 20th team member, right on time to maintain that gold standard metric in startups that Steve Jobs made famous - $1M of revenue per employee. Well we're technically at $27M but whatever, we'll let that currency thing slide, Steve. A proud day and moment to celebrate for us... And now. Back to building, and focusing on fulfilling our mission, the same on day 1 as it is today. To help people reach their heights 🚀
