    AI is making marketers lazy.... Meanwhile I just spent 2 hours making AI rewrite the same subject line 14 different ways because version 13 still wasn't right. Here's what people don't get about AI in email marketing: The lazy marketers were already lazy. They were lazy before ChatGPT. They were lazy with templates. They were lazy with "best practices." They were lazy copying their competitors' welcome series. AI didn't make them lazy. It just made their laziness faster. The marketers actually getting results with AI are doing the opposite of lazy: - Iterating on copy 20 times until it hits - Stress-testing segmentation logic against real data - Running it against past winners to spot patterns - Asking it to poke holes in their own strategy - Using it to do the work they used to skip The tool didn't change the operator. It just amplified whoever was already holding it. If your AI workflow is one prompt and a copy-paste, that's not AI making you lazy. That's just you.     Utopai Studios just became the first AI studio to sell content to major broadcasters like Global TV and ZDF. Their two flagship projects alone are projected to hit $110M in revenue. They recently acquired one of the top studios in Asia, adding 15 projects from Korea and Japan to their lineup. Their AI model, PAI, generated $11M in revenue within 60 days of launch, mostly from enterprise clients. Their investor list is stacked. James Harden and Carmelo Anthony are just two of many. Already valued at $1B. Definitely a great startup to keep your eye on.

    People wear Converse and Gucci for the same reason. One costs $60 while the other, $900. But at the end of the day, they’re both canvas sneakers. Both made overseas. Both get worn out in about a year. So why do people still buy them? Because they’re not really buying just the shoes. They’re buying what the shoes mean to them. Converse brings to mind garage bands, late nights, and not fitting in on purpose. It says: “I’m not chasing what’s popular. I’m being myself” Gucci means something different. It’s about showing status, money, and success. It says: “I can afford this and that’s kind of the point” The actual shoes? Not all that different. But the meaning behind them? That’s where the real value is. Because once people connect with the story, they stop thinking about the price, the comfort, or how long it’ll last. Email and retention tip: If your emails are just listing features, you’re just showing a product. Instead, talk about the feeling someone gets when they use what you sell. What does it help them feel? What kind of person does it help them be? How does it change their day? Specs are nice, but they don’t keep people coming back. The feeling does.     Back in the 1950s, Betty Crocker came out with a cake mix that made things super easy. Just add water, bake it, and you're done. But it didn’t sell well. So they brought in some psychologists to figure out why. The cake wasn’t the issue. The problem was that people, mostly homemakers at the time, felt like they weren’t really baking. It felt too easy. Like they weren’t doing enough. So Betty Crocker changed one thing: they took out the powdered eggs. Now people had to crack a real egg into the mix. That tiny step made a big difference. Sales went way up. Why? Because people want to feel like they’re part of the process. They want to feel like they did something. That’s the takeaway. If you’re writing product walkthroughs or onboarding emails, don’t just say “it’s simple!” Give people a way to get involved. Help them feel like they played a role in making it work.

    Most people take months to bounce back. You can do it in minutes: Whether coaching founders or athletes, I've seen one thing separates the good from the great: The ability to bounce back fast. The good news? This isn't something you either have or you don't. (Credit: James Ware) It's a skill. And like any skill, You can improve with practice. I had a really off day yesterday. Years ago, it would have thrown me for weeks. Here's what helped me bounce back fast: 1/ Release Name what you're feeling. Ask: what is this feeling trying to tell me? Then shake it, shout it, or breathe it out. 2/ Reset Do something that shocks your system. Pinch yourself, splash cold water on your face. This clears the mental cache. 3/ Rewire Only now shift your mindset. Ask: what's the opportunity here? What can I learn? How can I grow? Pro tip: Don't skip the Release stage. Feelings you suppress don't disappear, They just resurface later and cost you more. Novak Djokovic: "The biggest battle is always within. You have your doubts and fears. I feel it every single match. The difference between the biggest champions and the ones struggling to get to the highest level is the ability to not stay in those emotions for too long".
