This Military Appreciation Month, we're proud to share the inspiring story of Wendy Houser, President of US Wholesale and Specialty — and a proud US Navy veteran. Wendy joined the Navy at just 17, eager to travel and serve her country. It gave her confidence and a sense of purpose that still drives her today. “The Navy helped me realize what I was capable of,” Wendy said. “It's quite different in the military than it is in the professional world, but if you bridge that gap and you align with the things that are core – teamwork, confidence, shared goal – then you're set for success, and that's exactly what Markel has done.” At Markel, we’re committed to supporting veterans and creating space for their talents to thrive. Through initiatives like Operation Healing Forces and the Markel Veterans Network, we’re intentional about helping veterans transition into meaningful careers, surrounded by people who share their experience. 🎥 Watch Wendy’s full testimonial video to hear more about her experience and how Markel empowers veterans to continue their mission. 🔗 Explore open roles here: https://lnkd.in/eAEPti_B. #MilitaryAppreciationMonth #VeteransAtMarkel #WorkAtMarkel
