More than $40 million in Advancing Massachusetts Power (AMP) Energy Storage Grants across the state will provide power to critical facilities like schools and shelters during power outages, provide safety and education training to first responders and local officials, and deploy innovative technology to lower costs and add resilience to our electric grid. Every community in Massachusetts deserves a resilient grid and affordable energy bills. These grants help make that possible.

DOER’s summer interns recently visited the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center's Wind Technology Testing Center. After a brief overview of wind turbine blade testing, the interns toured the facility with a senior engineer on the team. Since opening in 2011, the testing center has run 35 distinct blade testing programs to help the wind industry deploy the next generation of offshore and land-based wind technologies. This facility is the only testing center of its kind in the United States able to test large blades.
