We’re all for literacy because literacy can and should be for all.
About us
Lexia believes that strong literacy foundations have impact far beyond the classroom—that they are essential to our ability to communicate, express ourselves, and engage with the world around us. We believe everyone has a right to literacy, and that as educators, we have an obligation to deliver. We believe every student deserves to be taught literacy in a way that works for them, no matter who they are, where they live, what level they are at, and what learning challenges they face. We believe every teacher deserves the support they need to teach literacy confidently and effectively. We know that literacy is fully within reach for the vast majority of learners (both students and teachers) when instruction is based on the science of reading—with sound methodology; with engaging experiences supported by innovative, committed experts; and with a focus on the value of each individual learner. We’re Lexia. We’re all for literacy because literacy can and should be for all.

🎙️ New Podcast Episode: “Leading Literacy Through Change” Real literacy transformation doesn’t happen with a new program alone. It happens when educators are supported through change. In our latest All For LiteracyⓇ episode, Kerri Larkin is joined by Marisa Ramirez Stukey, Ed.D. (chief academic officer, The Reading League), to explore how implementation science helps bridge the gap between what we know about literacy and what actually happens in classrooms. This conversation centers on teachers, system-level leadership, and the hard, but necessary, work of aligning practices, removing barriers, and sustaining change over time. If you’re leading literacy work at the classroom, school, or district level, this episode offers critical insight into how we move forward with educators, not ahead of them. 🎧 Listen now: https://bit.ly/4tRhCiO

We’ve spent years arguing about how much screen time students should have. The more important question is: What are those minutes actually doing? Not all screen time is the same. Some of it is distracting. Some of it creates more noise than learning. But some of it helps teachers quickly see where students are struggling, adjust instruction faster, and help students make real progress without adding endless extra time to the school day. Schools are already stretched thin. Teachers don’t have unlimited time. And students who are behind usually can’t just absorb “more school” and magically catch up. Enter the idea of “impact per minute.” Not: “How long were students on devices?” But: “Did those minutes actually help students learn?” The best instructional technology isn’t replacing teachers. It’s helping teachers make faster, more informed decisions while reducing wasted instructional time for students who need support the most. Students who are struggling don’t necessarily need more work. They need more targeted help. And schools don’t need infinite new instructional blocks added to the day. They need the time they already have to work better. Learn why this shift matters and why impact per minute may become a much more useful way to think about intervention, literacy growth, and educational technology moving forward. #scienceofreading #allforliteracy
