Three in four digital experience professionals say accessibility is now a requirement in procurement processes. Yet many organizations still find themselves unprepared. In his new article, our Chief Accessibility Officer, Jonathan Avila, explains that the orgs succeeding at accessibility in 2026 have moved beyond reactive fixes to a structured, program‑level approach. In my discussions with B2B leaders, I’ve been noticing a consistent pattern. Most organizations understand that accessibility matters, but they think of it as an additional task—a process to add to their to-do list, rather than a central component of how business is done—and won. Without clear ownership, embedded processes, and scalable tooling, accessibility remains fragmented, and valuable contracts hang in the balance. In my latest article, I draw on data from our latest State of Digital Accessibility Report that shows accessibility has become a procurement requirement, and review how to implement a mature, embedded accessibility approach that leads to an ongoing market edge. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Leave me a comment: What’s been your experience with accessibility in procurement? #DigitalAccessibility #A11y #SODAR

As we reflect on our experience at CSUN 2026, we're celebrating the partnerships that make accessibility stronger—including our collaboration with Fable. Their paid community of assistive‑technology users provides authentic usability insights that elevate every stage of the accessibility journey. Paired with Level Access’s platform and expertise, it’s a model that helps teams build with confidence and design with empathy. At CSUN, our own Karen Hawkins, CPACC co-presented with Fable COO Abid Virani on operationalizing accessibility in the product development life cycle. To us, conversations like these reinforce a core truth for our industry: Accessibility moves forward when we move forward, together.
