Too often, corporate learning is reactive: – a crash course when regulations change, – a tool training just before rollout, – a frantic „booster” when performance drops. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭‑𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐱𝐞𝐬. They come from consistent practice, reflection, and reinforcement. That’s how learning becomes resilience. 👉 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡: by the time you realize your people need new skills, you’re already behind. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐭? 🐱💦 Cats don't feel very happy being wet, but they quickly adapt. We all face tough moments when learning something new. What can a cat teach us about learning? 👉 Learning isn’t always comfortable. 👉 Sometimes, we face challenges or surprises. 👉 Growth happens when we accept discomfort and keep going. Here’s how to help learners embrace tough moments: ✅ Normalize struggle. Let them know it’s okay to feel challenged. ✅ Provide support. Be there to guide and encourage. ✅ Celebrate resilience. Recognize effort, not just success. Like a wet cat shaking off water, learners can bounce back stronger. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫? 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰! 👇 #LearningThatSticks #Resilience #GrowthMindset #InstructionalDesign #Elearning #LND

  • 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬. 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝. 🍔🥒 September often begins with energy: we want to learn, improve, take on new challenges. But too often, corporate learning feels like fast food: quick, tasty, instantly filling… and forgotten by the next day. The learning that sticks should be more like preserves: 🥒 made from the best, high‑quality ingredients (relevant and real) 🍅 carefully prepared (through practice, feedback, reflection) ⏳ given time to ferment - to develop richness and truly nourish over time 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥. What’s been your preserve learning - the skill or idea that has stayed with you and nourished your career long after the training ended? #LearningThatSticks #LearningAndDevelopment #CorporateLearning #WorkplaceLearning #AdultLearning

  • 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤. I’ve seen hundreds of learning projects. Some changed careers. Others were forgotten almost overnight. That gap isn’t random. 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤: 👉 It doesn’t just deliver information; it invites people to use it right away in their work. 👉 It sparks emotion, most often through a story or scenario where learners see themselves and their challenges reflected. 👉 It challenges assumptions and opens new perspectives, pushing people beyond their comfort zone. ❤️ Because emotion is the glue of memory. Application is the test. Perspective is the shift. When you think back to the best learning experience you’ve had - what made it unforgettable for you? #LearningThatSticks #CorporateLearning #Elearning #WorkplaceLearning #AdultLearning

  • The first school week is almost over. I watched the little ones walking into school for the very first time this week – eyes wide open, full of emotions, curiosity, amazement, and maybe just a bit of fear. And I kept thinking: 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝? It’s the same question we face in workplace learning. ➡️ The kick-off of a new program often sparks energy, but soon routine takes over. ➡️ The real challenge (and opportunity) is not just to start strong, but to sustain engagement until learning becomes part of who we are. From experience, I’ve seen three things make the difference: ✅ Learning that feels relevant from day one. ✅ Space to practice, fail safely, and try again. ✅ A community that makes you feel you’re not learning alone. Maybe the secret is the same for kids and adults: keep the spark by making learning meaningful, safe, and shared. 👉 How do you keep the “first week of school” curiosity alive in your learning programs? #LearningThatSticks #LearningAndDevelopment #InstructionalDesign #WorkplaceLearning

  • As my kid takes his first steps into school this Monday, I can’t help but think about the bigger picture... There’s always a special energy in new beginnings: a mix of curiosity, hope, and possibility. But this year feels different. We’re living through profound changes. AI is reshaping the way we work, learn, and even how we think. And it makes me wonder: 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐮𝐩? Are we preparing kids not just to remember information, but to thrive in a world where adaptability, creativity, and critical thinking matter more than ever? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐈‑𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞?

  • Hands up if you've ever felt the pressure from an SME saying, "𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭!" 🙋♀️🙋♂️ 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐚 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐭, 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐢𝐭?  We genuinely want to honor their expertise, but sometimes, trying to squeeze every detail into a course just leaves everyone feeling overwhelmed - especially our learners. ✨ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲?  Instead of just trying to fit everything in, imagine if we could gently guide the conversation towards what truly moves the needle for performance. It's about being a thoughtful partner, helping to distill that vast knowledge into focused, impactful learning moments. That's where the magic of "𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐬" truly happens – creating clarity and real change, together. I'd love to hear your experiences! How do you navigate these conversations with SMEs to create learning that's both comprehensive and truly effective? Let's share our best practices! 👇

  • I keep seeing microlearning praised as the magic cure for shrinking attention spans. 𝐔𝐧𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧: that’s the easy story and it misses the real issue. We live in an era of constant information bombardment. Notifications, feeds, meetings, content everywhere. As a result, people have built stronger filters. 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲? 𝐀𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐨.  𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞? 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐞.  Because dozens of stimuli are competing for our attention every second. That means a 60‑second microlearning clip that’s irrelevant will be ignored just as quickly as a 60‑minute training that’s irrelevant. Short doesn’t equal effective. ⛔ Attention span isn’t the real problem. ✅ Relevance is. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 “𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠.” 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. Whether it’s microlearning, a workshop, or a full curriculum, the same principle applies: 👉Make it a decision point, not an info dump 👉Show an immediate benefit: “What can I do differently right now?” 👉Use adaptivity or smart delivery so only what matters reaches the learner When content is relevant, people stay with it, no matter the format. 𝐔𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲, 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧. How do you make sure your learning designs pass the relevance test? Share your insights below! 👇
