Last year, LBAN, in collaboration with Bank of America, convened the Denver & Chicago ecosystems at our State of Latino Entrepreneurship Receptions, and the rooms were filled with exactly the kind of energy that reminds us why professional networks matter. Entrepreneurs, capital providers, chambers of commerce, and other ecosystem builders came together to support one another, expand their networks, and build relationships that continue opening doors today. With hundreds of attendees, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when we come together to activate local ecosystems. Now we're convening the Phoenix (June 23) and San Antonio (June 30) regional ecosystems. These events are free and open to all. Don’t miss out! About us
LBAN is a dynamic Silicon Valley-based nonprofit with a big mission to strengthen the U.S. economy by empowering Latino entrepreneurship across the country. We are a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization with a national reach. Without the rapid creation of new businesses by Latinos in the last five years, the total number of businesses in the country would have suffered a decline. As U.S. Latino businesses continue to grow to the average size of a business in the U.S., it would add $1.1 trillion to the U.S. economy. We believe entrepreneurship is a key driver for economic growth. We drive impact through three strategic pillars: 1) Foundational research on Latino Entrepreneurship across the U.S. 2) Transformational Business Programs for business owners, equipping them with the access, knowledge, and networks to scale their businesses. 3) An empowering national Ecosystem that includes over 1,500 LBAN alums of our programs, plus mentors, capital providers, and corporate partners. 📊Latino entrepreneurs are not only expanding businesses nationwide, they are playing a central role in sustaining economic dynamism across the country’s largest state economies! According to our SOLE research, between 2017 and 2023, Latino entrepreneurs created more net new firms and jobs than any other major racial or ethnic group in the U.S. In fact, without Latino-owned businesses, the U.S. would have experienced a net decline in the total number of businesses. 📍 61% of net new firms in California 📍 56% in Florida 📍 44% in Texas And in New York, where the overall number of businesses declined, Latino-owned businesses added 6,000+ firms and offset nearly 40% of the state’s losses. Yet, major gaps in access to capital and contracts persist. Imagine what becomes possible for the economy when all entrepreneurs have equal access to capital, contracts, and the right ecosystem behind them. At LBAN, we are building a national network of entrepreneurs, mentors, capital providers, and community builders united by one belief: “Do business with each other, get business for each other.”® Apply today and become part of this powerful, mutually supportive ecosystem built to help entrepreneurs grow, scale, and thrive. 👉 Learn more here: lban.us/our-programs #LBANstrong Arturo Cazares Jennifer Garcia Anelisa Lauri, MBA Alejandra Tamayo Diez Gutierrez Elian Savodivker Carlos Bejarano Marian García Cruz Giuliana Carabetta Owens

#AlumniSuccessStory Join us in congratulating Luciano Bueno, LBAN Business Scaling Program Cohort 11 alum and Founder of GALY, on winning a 2026 Edison Award for redefining the future of cocoa and cotton production! “This recognition is not just about a product, it’s about proving that we can rethink how the world produces its most essential and loved products.” – Luciano Bueno This achievement is a testament to the incredible work Luciano and the GALY team are doing to push innovation forward and reimagine the future of sustainable production. We are proud to have you as part of the #LBANstrong ecosystem! Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition. We can’t wait to see what’s next! Who would have thought that GALY would win an award at the Edison Awards (considered for decades the Oscars of Innovation)? I'm still kind of in disbelief. Our team worked relentlessly to take this from a concept in the lab to something people can see and (taste) with their own eyes (and mouth!). That kind of leap doesn't happen by accident. It happens because of people who chose to believe before there was anything to believe in. Even better: in a live tasting in front of hundreds of people, the taster called our chocolate ‘divine’. I feel incredibly blessed to be building a company that is redefining the era for the next 20 years. And honestly, we're just getting started. https://lnkd.in/eZ5Zy5YJ

Congratulations Raquel González on this feature! Raquel has been a longtime supporter of LBAN, and what stands out most is not just her leadership at Bank of America’s Silicon Valley market, but the way she consistently shows up for the community. She understands that real impact is about opening doors, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring entrepreneurs and business owners have access to the capital, connections, and opportunities they deserve. Her quote, “When we do it together, the sum is greater than the parts,” perfectly reflects the kind of ecosystem-building leadership that creates lasting change. We’re grateful for leaders like Raquel who continue investing in community, collaboration, and expanding opportunity for others. #LBANstrong Arturo Cazares Jennifer Garcia Marian García Cruz Elian Savodivker Anelisa Lauri, MBA Carlos Bejarano Alejandra Tamayo Diez Gutierrez Giuliana Carabetta Owens
Not every leader in Silicon Valley runs a clean org chart. Raquel Gonzalez leads Bank of America’s local Silicon Valley market, bringing together teams across consumer banking, wealth, private banking and commercial operations. That approach is her edge in a region where talent is tight, costs are high and companies are constantly evolving. The numbers back it up. About $460 million in small business lending last year. Roughly $1 billion in community development investment since 2020. It’s a look at how influence, not hierarchy, can drive growth in Silicon Valley. Check out the full cover story. Link in comments.
