𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳. Take a look inside the Monument Health Cancer Care Institute in Rapid City. This two-story addition brings together everything patients need—blood draw, infusion, brachytherapy, pharmacy, and support services—in one place. The design prioritizes patient experience at every turn. Natural light floods the spaces. Wood ceilings guide patients through the building. Private infusion rooms offer views of the South Dakota landscape. And the details matter too: massage services, a salon, a wig fitting room, and a double-sided fireplace anchoring the waiting area. This is nearly 60,000 SF designed to feel less like a hospital and more like a place of comfort. Thanks to Monument Health for the continued partnership and HDR for a design that puts patients first.

The new Mary Bridge Children’s hospital design includes features to help reduce children's medical anxieties. One highlight is a “kitten” scanner — a child-friendly, miniature replica of a real CT scanner. Developed by Philips, this interactive tool uses an app and specially designed stuffed animals to let kids “scan” their toys, helping them learn through play and better understand the procedures they may experience.

How do people feel about working for Layton in Hawaii? Good enough to earn a 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸 recognition from Pacific Business News! Congratulations and mahalo to our Hawai'i team who've spent over 25 years building something special in the islands. This 'ohana is the reason we're here.

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿, 𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀. But when the City Winery manager in Nashville's Pie Town describes the experience with Layton as "𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲," you know something different is happening. We recently celebrated the topping out of RAY Nashville with VELA Development Partners! We're also celebrating the team who turned a years-long construction project into a masterclass on being good neighbors. The challenges were real: Blasting 60 feet through solid rock; Dealing with an “underground waterfall”; Minimizing disruptions to the 150-year-old church across the street. Our Ray Nashville team handled it all while making sure the community felt supported. Read more about what our neighbors had to say here → https://lnkd.in/d7BG4X7Q

𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣, 𝙬𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢! To help fight hunger in our community, we teamed up with Architectural Nexus and Dunn Associates, Inc. for AIA Utah's CANstruction event, where participants build large-scale sculptures using nothing but canned goods and nonperishable foods. Inspired by the 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝟮𝟱𝟬 theme and in honor of the Artemis II mission, our sculpture featured a moon landing scene complete with a rocket ship 🚀. At 5,900 cans, it was also the largest sculpture in this year's event. But the best part? Every can used in the competition gets donated to a local food bank for families in need, with additional donations collected at each sculpture site. Want to vote for a winner? Ours is called 𝘍𝘶𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦: 250 𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘯-𝘋𝘰. Just saying 😏: https://lnkd.in/gAdu9Z2y

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗽. 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼! This six-story, mixed-use condominium development has had an unusual path. The original project stalled during COVID. When new ownership came on board, they asked us to take over and get it back on track. Before construction could begin, our team spent the winter demolishing the existing slab—working through temperatures as low as -𝟭𝟱 𝗱𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘀 to prepare the structure for a spring restart. Concrete work is now underway. When complete, Waterview will feature 80 residential units, a restaurant, and a fitness center with views of Lake Dillon and the Rockies. Building at 9,000' isn't easy, but that's part of the appeal.
