It finally happened: Lawmatics' Matt Spiegel & the #Beatles' Paul McCartney appeared on the same #podcast together. I suppose it was inevitable. 🟣 Matt, to his great credit, is always down for whatever - even as a #legaltech CEO. So, we did something we'd never done before on the '#Legal Late Night' podcast, on the Legal Broadcasting Company, in order to accommodate his genuine willingness to take chances. 🎲 We combined our 'Wheel of Justice' segment with our interview, so we could have an extended conversation with Matt about legal & life. Literally, we just spin a wheel, and we ask whatever questions come up. Potential questions are split evenly between straight law-related queries & random bullshit I come up with. 🛞 I learned a lot from this session, let me tell you: -Matt told me what he would do if there was an extinction level event - basically become Iron Man (after grieving his family & friends, of course). 😶🌫️ -He recalled his best legaltech conference story - that he could relay in a public forum (American Bar Association TECHSHOW 2011, for the record). 🫘 -He addressed why he longs for the days of the Nintendo Gameboy & Sony Discman. 💿 -He offered his absolute top tip for growing a law practice.🪴 {{[PLUS MORE‼️]}} And, if that weren't enough, I went ham on a new 'Perfect Albums' review: the aforementioned Paul McCartney's 'Ram' from 1971. 🐏 If you've never listened to 'Ram' before, it is fucking unhinged & it's the best thing Macca's ever done, as the best solo #Beatle. 🪲 Seriously, it's got it all: -hot guitar licks 🎸 -a cold war with John Lennon 🥶 -lots of gibberish, random screaming & weird voices 😩 -plus, there's a song about something I can't even talk about on LinkedIn without probably being shadow banned 🤬 If you're not into early solo McCartney - it's not too late! ⏱️ Of course, I put together a nearly 3-hour Spotify primer, to help ease your admission into the fan club. 🪭 All of the histrionics are linked below, in both audio 🎧 & video 🕶️ format - because you know you like to watch 🫣.
