LaBella’s Charlotte team took home the Best Meal Award at the 2025 CANstruction Charlotte competition with their towering “Mascot Munch” PEZ dispenser display—all in support of the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHMETROLINA). 💪🥫 LaBella’s design, “Mascot Munch,” featured five giant PEZ dispensers representing each of Charlotte's professional sports team mascots: Sir Minty of the Charlotte FC, Hugo of the Charlotte Hornets, Sir Purr of the Carolina Panthers, Chubby of the Charlotte Checkers, and Homer of the Charlotte Knights. These impressive structures stood nearly 10 feet tall! The 4th annual Mohawk Valley Brownfields Developer Summit was a blast, as always. It’s great connecting with municipalities, funding agencies, economic developers, consultants, and developers that are passionate about the transformative potential of brownfield redevelopment in communities across NYS. This year Mirren Galway and I were able to incorporate our work on the Herkimer #BOA with a walking tour highlighting opportunity sites in the downtown that are ripe for investment. And a surprise at the end of day 1: the honor of receiving this year’s #Brownfield #Catalyst award. Thank you to the event organizers!
