This week, La Colombe café leaders from across our markets came together to connect, collaborate, and align on our vision for the year ahead. True to who we are, we paired strategy with service, rolling up our sleeves to pack 1,000 snack kits filled with fresh fruit and Chobani Greek Yogurt for City Harvest's New York City distributions. Together, helping expand access to fresh, nutritious food for our neighbors.

Myth Maker was inspired by an old story from Ethiopia, coffee’s ancestral home. Long before coffee had a name, a herdsman noticed what others missed: the quiet power of a plant, and the way it stirred life and spirit in his flock of goats. Coffee—and coffee culture—began with that moment of awareness and patience. This single origin Ethiopia Worka Chelbessa is proudly sourced from Yirgacheffe region, home of the same indigenous coffee trees. Every bean carries the legacy of a people who didn’t just stumble upon coffee. They understood it, incorporated it into traditions, and in time, shared it with the rest of the world. This is the stuff myths are made of.

We’re leveling up the game as the Official Coffee and Cold Brew Partner of the U.S. Soccer Federation—energizing players and fans to go all in and bring their A-game. To kick it off, we turned our Fishtown café into the ultimate watch-party hangout—live music, big energy, USWNT on the screen, and coffee flowing all night long. This is just the beginning! 

In Philly, Norton Shores, and café locations across the nation, our employees have been volunteering for our biggest impact event of the year—#LetsEatWeek! 🍽️ Launched by Chobani in 2023, Let’s Eat Week is an organization-wide effort to fight hunger in the communities we call home. Thanks to the incredible support from our partners, this was our biggest and most impactful Let’s Eat Week yet. In 15 cities across 3 countries, our team of volunteers distributed a total of 300,000+ lbs. of nutritious food and pantry staples to families who need it most. At La Colombe, we’re proud champions of our people—including the communities and farmers who make our coffee possible.   On a panel at the United Nations Headquarters in New York last week, we marked an important milestone: becoming the first U.S. roaster to join the Advancing Climate-Resilience and Transformation in African Coffee (ACT) Programme.   Led by UNIDO and supported by the Italian Government, this initiative brings together partners across the coffee chain—including the International Coffee Organization and Inter-African Coffee Organisation —to strengthen Africa’s coffee industry through technology, financial tools, and policy support.   Together, with the right tools and support, coffee can fuel strong communities and a healthier planet—one cup at a time.   Watch here (at 58:00): https://lnkd.in/euxs9F7c   Photo credit: UN Partnerships / Kiara Worth.

Against the backdrop of UNGA week in New York—where global leaders came together to talk peace, security, and opportunity for all—we brought back our fan-favorite coffee bar at Clinton Global Initiative.
