Builders episode 5 is live, featuring Google DeepMind's Varun Mohan and Kevin Hou. Our partners Josh Coyne and Leigh Marie Braswell sit down with the two leaders behind Antigravity to talk about where coding agents are headed, from multi-agent workflows to agents running everywhere, all at once. They also get into the fading importance of the IDE and why the product layer should get simpler as the model gets smarter. Full YouTube episode link ⬇️

Shipbuilding is one of the clearest examples of an industry overdue for reinvention. The next era will demand a new industrial model. Saronic is building it. Dino Mavrookas, Vibhav A., Rob Lehman, Doug Lambert, and the team bring deep defense experience and the technical and operational depth to execute at scale. Kleiner Perkins is proud to lead Saronic’s Series D.

Not sure what went more viral at RSA this year - the Old Fashioned cocktails we served in the Gambit Security booth or the buzz around our new approach to #resilience. What a week. Big week. Along with our new funds, we also launched a new website. 💻 kleinerperkins.com
In 2001, I started my career as a web designer/developer using Flash and ActionScript. That's where I fell in love with the intersection of design and code. My career took a different path. But design never left me. It was always there, quietly nagging in the background. Then I found Figma. The spark came back instantly. And when I paired it with Claude Code years later, everything changed. I wasn't just managing technology anymore. I was building again. That led to something I'm incredibly proud of: this Monday, we launched the new Kleiner Perkins website. A project where I got to build tools with design in mind again. Then I connected the dots... • Macromedia (Flash) - Backed by Kleiner Perkins • Figma - Backed by Kleiner Perkins • Anthropic (Claude) - Backed by Kleiner Perkins Three defining tools in my journey. All backed by the same firm. And now I work here. That's not luck. That's Kleiner Perkins. For 50+ years, KP hasn't just backed companies; it's backed the tools that shape how we build. Including, somehow, my own career. kleinerperkins.com

The most important knowledge at your company isn't in your docs. It's in your meetings. Christopher Pedregal, Sam Stephenson and the team have built a product that feels inevitable, the rare combination of craft and utility that earns daily use. We’re excited to partner with Granola on their Series C as they build the system of record for every conversation so nothing important gets lost the moment a call ends.

Legendary VC firm Kleiner Perkins announces a $3.5B haul to invest in new AI startups and current portfolio winners. Partner Mamoon Hamid described it to me as “…the most exciting time in my VC career to be investing.” And that’s saying something given he backed Figma when it was worth just $25m in 2018. An enormous return when it went public. This comes amid huge funding rounds for successful AI companies it’s backed like Databricks & Waymo and as portfolio stars like SpaceX and Anthropic eye the public markets. Bubble concerns? Nope. “We see infinite capacity for the technology to create value,” said partner Ilya Fushman. But he also recognizes the need for the rest of society - us humas outside the venture world - to see and experience that value. Ilya discussed that with me as I wrote this story, and I can’t wait to talk to him more on the show tomorrow. Tune in 11:30am ET / 8:30am PT. Thanks to the team at KP and the portfolio companies like Winston Weinberg at Harvey and Markie Wagner at Forge. ✌️❤️ Ps. Link to story in comments

Winston Weinberg , Gabe Pereyra , and the entire Harvey team have build the category leader in Legal AI and a blueprint for an applied AI company. The product and customer momentum are palpable. Over half of the AmLaw 100, 1,300+ organizations across 60 countries, 25,000+ custom agents, and in-house legal now the fastest-growing segment. The numbers speak for themselves and our conviction only grows with each round 🚀
Today we announced Harvey’s latest funding round at an $11B valuation. AI agents are fundamentally changing how legal work gets done. They take on high-volume, complex tasks and run workflows end to end. More than 25,000 custom agents are already running on Harvey across leading law firms and legal departments, helping teams move faster and operate in entirely new ways. This round, co-led by GIC and Sequoia Capital with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue Management, Conviction, Elad Gil, Evantic Capital, and Kleiner Perkins, allows us to expand these agents and scale the embedded legal engineering teams that build and optimize them alongside our customers. Today, over 100,000 lawyers at 1,300 organizations rely on Harvey for critical work. What started as a tool is becoming core infrastructure, speeding up execution, improving coordination, and shifting focus toward higher-value outcomes. This funding allows us to continue leading the industry and defining the future of legal and professional services. I am grateful to our customers, team, and investors for their partnership and shared belief in what we’re building. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eu-CgK_E

For the second year in a row, Figma was named #1 in Enterprise on Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies list. Having had a front row seat to an incredible year of building, I can't begin to say how well-earned this recognition is. From expanding the platform from 4 to 8 products to helping users unlock new possibilities with AI – and an IPO somewhere along the way – Figma shipped faster than ever in 2025. More than anything, this award reflects the hustle of Figma's team and the relentless, shared commitment to helping people build the world's best products. Congrats to the entire team––and to the other companies on this year's list! https://lnkd.in/gNZqxSHC
